Type: CommentsDate: 21 Jan 2008 12:22Sorry, I stand corrected. You CAN save stills from this screensaver quite easily. I wish the same were true of some other ones... :)

Type: CommentsDate: 21 Jan 2008 11:32Looks very nice, but my personal limit for a paid screensaver is $5. If this had a standalone version that let you output stills, $10 would be a good price, or $15-20 if it output animation...

The regular price seems so high that I think I'd be unlikely to buy it any other day... Thanks for the deal, mupromo!

Type: CommentsDate: 24 Jul 2007 20:55I can't help wondering if the developer might have misstepped in limiting this product to people willing to pay $10 for screen savers. I have to guess this is a fairly small market.

Type: CommentsDate: 24 Jul 2007 01:36I met the developer of this program a couple of years ago at a NAPP event and had a nice talk with him. Nice guy! I believe this is the best of the palette design tools for Mac. This is a great deal at the discount. I wish I could have gotten it at this price!

Type: CommentsDate: 1 Jun 2007 03:15While osCommerce is free and very powerful, it is very different from eOrdering in that it requires a good bit more of the end user to set up your web store. In my opinion, eOrdering has a much less threatening learning curve, and is very much worth taking a serious look at it if you want to make a web store but are not so much of a web programming type...

Type: CommentsDate: 13 Feb 2007 05:57An interesting twist on solitaire games. Adds a challenging layer of strategy to what has become a fairly tired game.
Developers need to fix a bug in the next release, though. When selecting "Unlimited" redeals in the solitaire card game, what you actually get is four total deals!

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Feb 2007 20:39This program is a lot of fun, and in my opinion, a fairly unique addition to the range of available software in the general category...
I like the themes, although I echo the hopes of an earlier review that there will be more. I would also hope that the developer create a free application that helps creative types make themes easily.
I have not paid the shareware fee yet only because I have not yet needed the output to be free of the demo version watermark, but as soon as that comes up (or as soon as it's offered at a discount through Mac Update Promo or MacZOT!) I will be purchasing.
The developers deserve congratulations for coming up with something that really offers something new!

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Feb 2007 20:33I've been using this program for a while now, primarily for English/Simplified Chinese. I do realize it is a front-end application for free translation services on the net, but the ease of use while in, for example, a chat program with select text, hit command key combination usage justifies the price to me. This enables rapid communication. In fact, I am able to imput Chinese this way faster than native Chinese can! Of course, it has all the foibles of machine translation, but that should continue to gradually improve as time goes on...
Perfect? No. Worth the price? Definitely.

Type: ReviewDate: 14 Jan 2007 20:19I am a big RapidWeaver fan, so I am enthusiastic when any developer adds to its functionality. So of course I have been looking at this program since it first came out.
Strictly speaking, you can do all of what this program lets you do without this program. This involves viewing the contents of the theme from the theme chooser in RapidWeaver, then editing the files in your favorite graphics editor. For one 3rd party theme, Chameleon, this approach works best, because of the thoughtful design of that theme. For every other theme, though, you're going to want to use RWThemeMiner.
The simple reason is that you have to be an organizational prodigy with a steel trap memory to be able to keep track of everything that needs to be changed when you customize a theme. RWTM does it for you. Also RWTM lets you duplicate the theme and work on the copy, protecting the original theme from your questionable design choices! ;)
It must be noted that this program is in its early days. The developer is considering adding some basic image editing functions -- a very good idea. I would also suggest adding some sort of multiple image well, to keep the image elements you're going to be using close at hand within RWTM, and maybe providing a "map" of sorts of the whole page that lets you know which file is which -- maybe by highlighting the filename when the mouse goes over the associated part of the page preview.
Since the program is in its early days, I have nothing but high hopes for its future. This is a much needed program for those of us who can't quite do CSS theme from scratch! I am rating a few things with 4s to leave room for growth -- I hope it will be straight 5s soon!

Type: CommentsDate: 1 Jan 2007 21:01The developers at Yourhead do it again! Honestly, I love all their RapidWeaver plugins! This one is nicely customizable, and there is already an active community sharing different customizations (you can find them in the forum on their website).
Yourhead seems to think of things I never knew I really needed to take the already great RapidWeaver app further! Check out all their RapidWeaver plugins, if you haven't already. They are well worth the money.
I can't wait to see what the next thing I really need will be!

Type: ReviewDate: 6 Jul 2006 12:33A very useful and fun program. I'd wished I could send other video through iChat, and although another program had the limited functionality of sending a live feed of your desktop, ShowMacster is MUCH more useful. Well worth the money, and a sensible approach to licensing -- your iChat ID is registered, and then you can use it on any Mac with that account...
The only downside? For some reason, I can never remember the name. To the developer: I suggest maybe change the name to "ChatCast" or "ChatCaster." (But give me credit somewhere for suggesting the name, so I can feel like I'm cooler than I am)

Type: CommentsDate: 27 Jun 2006 12:53This is a fun program to play with on iChat, with a lot of options...
In my opinion, the price is too high once it crosses the $10 point. I would buy it at $10, probably, and definitely at $5. I have a feeling sales would go way up at lower price points...
If the developer doesn't drop the price, I'll keep an eye out for a deal on Maczot.com, but for now, if I want to show my iChat friends a cool effect for a minute, I don't mind a text crawl reminder to register, as I doubt I would have it active more than a minute or so. Personally, this program is a fun novelty to me, and not of as much practical use as the similarly priced (but differently functioning) ShowMacster.
I hope the developer will consider a price drop, though.
