DAIYI I had been using Widemail and have nothing but good things to say about it. Sent in a donation. If you want this vertical view in Mail now, your only option is Letterbox, also a very fine application. I have had no issues at all since installing it recently. In the future, Letterbox will also feature a two-lined view. Both great applications. Just wish there would be some word about Widemail. If not, many users may be going over to Letterbox out of impatience or "necessity." (Version 0.5.1)

DAIYI Yes, I saw on Aaron's site that he was planning on making LB two-lined like Widemail. I hope that both of them are in contact so they don't overlap on their projects too much. (Version 0.5.1)

DAIYI I was trying to ascertain that, too, from Aaron's website. But from screenshots both on his site and MU, it appears that LB remains single-lined. Dane's two=lined approach in WM appeals to me more as well. Having some spacing between messages is easier to read and process information, not to mention being aesthetically very pleasing. And it's customizable in WM. Any progress reports, Dane? Operators at PayPal are standing by waiting for donations. (Version 0.5.1)

DAIYI I received an email reply about the non-ad version license costing $10. It is also on the Newsgator site, though not that easy to find. (Version 3.2b25)

DAIYI $10 for ad-free version, even if you purchased a license. NNW is still by far the best RSS reader for my needs (though Vienna is excellent as well). (Version 3.2b25)

DAIYI Downloaded SIMBL from both MU and Mike's page. No go. Something is preventing it from loading the bundles or the OS is not allowing the script to run. I also use MacPilot and looked for any settings that may be affecting this. But am running out of ideas here. Already I have downloaded, installed, uninstalled, several times. A long-time Stand user I would be happy to get this working. But I survived without it the past few weeks, so.... (Version 4.0SL169)

DAIYI I downloaded SIMBL .0.9.5.b. But the actual file says it's 0.9.4. So I downloaded it again, ran uninstall, and reinstalled. Same thing. Guess I should try to find the real 0.9.5b Thank again for the prompt replies and help. (Version 4.0SL169)

In fact from what I can see here SIMBL.osax appeared also as 0.9.4, but it works... Maybe you can d/l a version here: h**p://culater.net/software/SIMBL/SIMBL.php and use the SIMBL Uninstaller before to reinstall it... (Version 4.0SL169)

DAIYI I was bummed to learn that the current version of WM is not compatible with 10.6. But at least Dane is hard at work on it. I can't stand the configuration of the default Mail window. Thanks to Dane it's pleasant to use. Thanks, too, for the tip on how to restore the Subject column. I forgot to make the necessary changes before updating. But Dane's hint on his blog helped me to restore this functionality. Hopefully it won't be too long before an upgrade is out. Well worth another donation. (Version 0.5.1)

Planbook | Sep 1 2009 |
DAIYI Planbook is one of the best applications a teacher can make use of on either the Mac or Windows platform. It has made scheduling and teaching much easier for me, and I rely on Planbook more and more for my courses. The developer is helpful and responsive. He also has a clear vision of where he wants the application to go in terms of future development. As a teacher himself, Jeff is able to approach the application of technology from a very practical perspective. Pricing is more than fair for such a useful bit of educational software. DAIYI Although I purchased a license from Macgamestore, every time Scrabble is opened it prompts me to purchase it. Three messages to the Macgamestore but no reply. Love the game; very disappointed with the registration mess. Never has happened with any other software purchased online. Any ideas? (Version 1.0.1.4)

DAIYI I have had the same issues with YIM. Shiira started crashing, too, after I used it in place of the beta Safari. Did uninstalling help any? I have reverted to Safari 2 using the uninstaller from the beta version. (Version 3.0b)

OmniWeb | Jun 6 2007 |
DAIYI I'm not experiencing any such problems apart from an occasional crash. This is not to deny your experience; yet I don't think it is the norm for this browser. Have you tried contacting Omnigroup or posting on their forum to find a possible fix or solution? Your posting seems somewhat unfair based on my dealings with the company and my experience using the browser exclusively since 5.5, though I can understand your frustration if the product is not working properly. Yahoo! Messenger | May 2 2007 |
DAIYI I really would like to use this beta version (perpetual beta) but it often has problems accessing the Yahoo server and will never receive a cross platform webcam broadcast. Thus, I have to resort to 2.5.3, which is just so much harder to look at. Will this ever be updated and will it work properly? (Version 3.0b1r2)

Yahoo! Messenger | May 2 2007 |
DAIYI Skype and Mercury are good recommendations. If you have to use YIM, try downgrading to the older version of Yahoo Messenger. Version 3 has been in beta for over 6 months and can only broadcast, not receive, messages cross platform. Version 2, though uglier, will allow you to send/receive cams. (Version 3.0b1r2)

DAIYI Great little application, especially since OmniWeb and gmail don't work well together. I did notice, however, that after upgrading to 10.4.9 that it doesn't work anymore. Opens up fine, but everything is blank in the window. Hope there'll be a fix soon. Or should I be deleting plist files? (Version 0.92)

FLNewsBrowser | Apr 29 2007 |
DAIYI This is a great application. I plan on installing it ion our college language lab computers. With modifications, LiveDictionary can be used in conjunction with FLN, allowing for popup definitions in various languages. It would be great to see further development. The "show pinyin" and speed control are welcome recent developments. I would love a simple way of saving vocabulary terms into a lexicon or list for later review. For now, however, I'm very pleased with this. (Version 1.2)
