DOUG S. Under the "Save As" dialogue box I assume it only saves as MOVs, correct? (Version 1.5.2)

Submerge | Oct 22 2008 |
JOBBY Can you tell us how you set that up? I've tried both the options in the Save As dialog, and I still get subtitles hard-burned into the movie, with no option to turn them off. About the best option I can see in there is to save as a reference movie, and then play the original for subtitle-free use, but that doesn't help when you just want to go back a few seconds and check a bit of dialogue you couldn't make out — especially on the Apple TV :) (Version 1.5.5)

CROP Well, I like shortcuts too :P but : 1- I don't need a thousandth one; 2- I don't need two more processes running in the background. 3- I've been harsh because, at a first look, I really thought this app was... well, really "something"... BTW, what does "systemwide" mean, after all? Sometimes my phone rings and Ooops! I need my adress book Right Now! A cool shortcut and it's here... Let's try to figure with Terminal: The phone rings... Hey! It's Gran'Ma! Where's my terminal!!?

CROP Totally useless... I just don't understand the goal... A "systemwide" way to send bash commands WITHOUT having Terminal.app running would be GREATLY appreciated. But since Terminal.app MUST be running for Visor to work, why shouldn't we just have to click on its dock icon?

AAFUSS Apple only requires you to state that was derived from theirs, only if the source code is included. Made them into Universal Binary-so the apps run on PPC too, and made changes to improve stability (as at first they were Intel only). (Version 1.1)

CROP Found out that it's just a bug in the French localization; bad nib file, may be just a typo or a missing file... I just trashed the "French.lproj" folder. Anyway, this one likes to crashhhhhhhh :) I guess I have to dig; too many troubles. The first gif I tried to open was empty, the second one had its RGB channels shifted by one px (beautiful effect though...) (Version 3.0)

D9 Yes, this is classic Adobe. For a company who built its fortunes on Mac users, they are the most incompentent/complacent developer out there. For years, they're installers have been the most inept (won't open), user-unfriendly (multiple installers to achieve current), and ludicrous (prep folder, copy & paste in application packages). Adobe sucks in customer service these days. (Version 9.0.0.297)

CROP Although I love this app, I really miss an other feature: an "Open in web browser" button... Each time I create a file on-the-fly in a deeply buried/private/secret folder on the server, I have to type its entire url in my browser to test it... This would save me a lot of time. VLC Media Player | Jan 4 2006 |
CROP Since VLC tries to automatically load sub files when you launch a movie, it can easely be confused by any text file wich resides in the same folder as your movie (or in a subfolder). Try to put your movie alone in a folder, without any subfolder. If you use subtitle file(s), make sure the subs are correct for this movie (same lenght, ...)
