CPMAX  Snow Leopard 10.6 has broken a feature in Tone-Foo where you can double-click the loop to preview it before dragging into the play queue. I was hoping it would have been fixed in 10.6.1 but it has not.

I will investigate this further and post an update if required.

Thanks.

CPMAX  No, that's not what I want. I want the Top Sites View for my bookmark folders in the bookmarks bar.

CPMAX  Put the tabs back! The toolbar draws your attention away from the tabs but it shouldn't. The tabs on Safari 3 define the web site you are looking at. This is no longer the case. Also, doesn't this break some type of UI standard for having a defined area at the top of the window to describe, click-on, move the window around?

Although slow, I like the top sites feature but I would like to see it added to the bookmarks. So, for example, instead of having a drop-down menu in your bookmarks bar turn it into a button so then it shows the webpages instead. This, of course, would be an optional feature.

The speed is great so far!...just put the tabs back at the very least pleeeeese!

STEFANO CECERE  agree 100%

these top tabs are ugly and hard to see

i appreciate they tried to give us more vertical space.. but i think this is not the way (maybe it was better a lateral vertical column

SEMIOTICMONKEY  Coverflow mode for boomarks is present.

Click on the Bookmarks on the bookmarks bar (or Bokmarks -> Show all bookmarks) and you'll see. You can navigate in coverflow mode and make specific search too.

CPMAX  Problems with the software download:

I ended up with a version 3.5.1.1 not a 4.0

Please rename the installer so when unarchiving the download it appears next to it. I had to go looking for the installer because it's named "Install SPSC". Perhaps this is rectified in the 4.0 version?

ALIENAPPARATUS  Please contact support@alienapparatus.com about this. We are not seeing this issue at all. Downloading from our website gives an installer that automatically launches and installs version 4.0. I'm wondering if you might have had an old installer around from a past download. In any event, please contact us because if there is a problem we want to fix it, and if there is not a problem, we want to help.

CPMAX  I like the idea. It's a neat package and has some useful functionality. The backing tracks/lyrics display is a great feature. Sorry I can't rate it, but I'm not a solo performing musician.

Anyone scared of downloading this software because of the price should note that the price is the full price that includes the foot controller. Check their website for more purchasing options.

CPMAX  Plus, I tried to make my loops more ringtone focused and not have "ringtunes". I doubt that the GB loops are better quality than the Tone-Foo loops, just different focus.

CPMAX  Yes. I didn't want to duplicate the functionality of Garageband and create yet another multitrack recorder. Even though GB is easy to use for some I wanted to make a tool that was easy, fun to use and had a specific focus.

CPMAX  PATRIZIAF, Sorry to hear you are having issues with downloading. It seems to be working for me and others. It's important that Macupdate manages the downloads so I can track them. I'm sorry I can't be more help.

CPMAX  I'm not surprised considering the requirements, as stated above, are Mac OS X 10.5. Well, now that you have it running I hope you write a glowing review :)

CPMAX  Initial Impression

I'm not an advanced creative-type user by any stretch so I can't comment on the more complex operations but this is what Adobe Photoshop Elements should have been like!

Pixelmator has a brilliant and integrated interface. The tools and the filters interact with the layers quickly and you get instant results. I love how you can place some tools on the canvas and drag out the radius to see how much impact the tool will have. The filters are impressive and the "dangling string" is a beautiful way to allow the filter to interact with the layer.

It's rarely that an application gets me fired up to want to use it. Adobe, I'll be giving my money to Pixelator!
