CHARLESCC  I’ve been using the Windows version for about 5 months. 3 months ago I purchased a MacBook Pro and have been gradually moving over all my Web design work – mostly html, xml, and photoshop files. I am also a hobbyist programmer – some java, some flash.

I started with the Standard edition ($100) as Deltopia offered no personal licenses at the time. My license was registered on my name, so when I later asked for an upgrade to Oro (personal license) they did it for free, no hassle. The folks at Deltopia have been quite responsive on several occasions, actually.

Some of the things I like about DeltaWalker:

- It's got top-tier user interface and graphic design – two things I deeply care about. It's not common to come across sloppy apps on the Mac, but on Windows it's not unusual. My hat is off to their graphic designer too.

- I often synchronize files, but it's imperative for me to be able to visually compare the files with differences before overwriting and not rely only on different timestamps or size. DeltaWalker excels at that. The folder/file comparison integration is awesome.

- Editing, merging, undo/redo, difference detection and highlighting – all top notch.

- It's easy to integrate with 3rd party apps (DreamWeaver).

- The software updates work well (I received several) and make updating a no-brainer.

I wish it supported http and ftp access (I was told it’s coming with the next update) and there were some visual feedback while downloading updates; also wish they had the personal license option back when I bought it; website says it’s promotional and hope they make it permanent as, imo, it won’t negatively affect their corporate sales, but rather boosts DeltaWalker’s acceptance by individual users. All in all I give them two [enthusiastic] thumbs up.
