CHAGRINS  I kind of like version 2 better (while it worked). The main addition is resizing, but it works really slowly (sort of like resizing a window on OS X 10.1) - also, sometimes show titles get stuck outside the viewing area. Also, scrolling is pretty choppy (and not helped by the "smooth scrolling" animation). Still, it's a pretty slick widget, and hopefully version 3 will improve.

CHAGRINS  Different drives have different firmware. This firmware updater contains firmware for many different drives. Some LaCie drives will require an update, others will not. The Update Tool will tell if your drive needs updating.

CHAGRINS  This software works, but isn't too polished. One example: the "thumb forward" and "thumb backward" icons and labels are reversed. Another example: it crashes a lot.

While I like the scrolling and tracking performance of the built-in OS X driver better, I'm pretty used to the extra buttons, so this seems to be the only free option.

CHAGRINS  This is the only program I've found to open WordPerfect (wpd) files, other than MacLinkPlus. It takes awhile, and the interface isn't pretty, but AbiWord has reliably opened every WordPerfect file I've thrown at it, and allowed me to quickly export it into RTF or a number of other formats.
