I have used it for quite some time and it is a great piece of software. Yes there are alternatives which allow you to use multiple services at once (Adium). However if you are looking to only use the AIM messaging service, this app is MUCH better than anything else out there, Adium included.

CHADCN  The biggest reasons I use Plex over Front Row are:

-Plex can play many more types of files than Front Row

-It is much more customizable (skins, etc)

-It is being developed quite quickly, so you see improvements much more quickly.

-It supports my universal remote, so I don't have to use the small Apple Remote

CHADCN  Per comments regarding Plaxo and icalx.com

Plaxo only allows one-way syncing and it will only sync one calendar to Google cal. If you have several calendars, like myself, Plaxo is worthless.

Getting icalx to actually display calendars is hit and miss, which means getting them to google cal is the same. I would much rather use something that provides direct syncing to google cal and not have to go through the trouble of learning another service to be used as a middle-man, which plaxo and icalx are.

Spanning Sync is the best at what it does, has been rock solid and consistent, and for me is well worth the money
