CAPIAUMATADOR My dear fellows, the most common thing I have found so far on Mac is an impressive number of third-party programs that can do exactly the same the main OS can do. Drive-in is an ilustrative example: its idea is great, but I am able to do what it claims using only Disc Utility. Lets go: consider that I am using the Portuguese version of Leopard, so the names may vary (but the procedure is the same). (1) Open Disk Utility; (2) Insert the DVD you want to rip or copy; (3) Select the DVD drive on the left and press the New Image button on the top (4) On the popup menu, give the disc image a name, and choose from the menu “image format” main DVD/CD (or something like that). Choose where to save, and save it. What is important is that it will create a file with the extension .cdr, which is a DVD/CD Master Image type.
Well, you now have exactly the same DVD on your HD. Click twice on it (it will mount), then lauch the DVD player. DVD player should begin to play automatically. All menus and adjusts are fully functional, as a regular DVD on the optic drive. All this procedure took around 10'12 minutes.
Am I missing anything?
