Type: CommentsDate: 3 Jan 2008 10:28FYI, version 2.4 does not detect the VX Revolution on a Mac Pro (running Leopard). The same mouse works fine on my Macbook running Leopard. The mouse seems to work but cannot be configured via LCC.
Other things are detected and work on LCC 2.4 on Mac Pro (Cordless Comfort Duo keyboard). Yes, I've tried re-installing, rebooted, etc. I've also tried to get the VX Revolution to be detected while the Logitech keyboard is not connected, and that doesn't seem to work either.
Any ideas?

Type: CommentsDate: 2 Jan 2008 13:55Trying up update my copy of Ubuntu Gusty (7.10) today which hasn't been turned on in a month, and midway through the updates, the VM completely hangs (On Mac Pro dual 2.66. VM configured with 1 processor, 512MB RAM). Fusion is completely dead and requires reboot (force quit doesn't work). After this, I tried re-installing from CD and upon trying to update the default 7.10 installation, the same thing happened. I have found nothing in the Ubuntu forums or on Vmware's forums regarding any issues. Any ideas?

Type: CommentsDate: 4 Dec 2007 07:50One of my favorite programs!
Only issue in Leopard (isn't an OMC issue, but a Leopard issue), is the stupid nested contextual menus.
Anyone have a workaround for moving everything to the main menu so we don't have to go to "More ->" and wait for the rest of the menu to load?
Argg...

Type: CommentsDate: 1 Dec 2007 21:26Any ideas on why it takes a 200-300 MB WMV file like a minute to load in Quicktime. This is on a c2d Macbook w/ 2GB RAM running Leopard. Took just as long in Tiger. And yes, I have the "open local files immediately" option checked in the preferences and the files are local. I tried using VLC but it didn't do a very good job decoding the files. Any ideas?

Type: CommentsDate: 21 Nov 2007 08:16Newest version seems to work for me. It doesn't require APE to be installed, but you don't seem to get the OSD when turning on/off caps lock etc.

Type: CommentsDate: 17 Nov 2007 08:22Great; but would be even greater if they could add scp support! ftp is so ancient and insecure.

Type: ReviewDate: 29 Aug 2007 20:33Does not respond to support requests. I submitted a bug a year ago regarding the droplet's not obeying passwordless rsa key authentication via sftp. The favorite themselves work fine with passwordless sftp but when saving a favorite to a droplet it doesn't work.
Try it yourself and see:
Create a favorite with sftp as the protocol and do not set the password (you must configure ssh keys without passwords so that you can ssh to the client without passwords). Don't check prompt for password. Connect and verify that you can get in without a password, if not, you should follow these directions:
http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/152
Then try again.
Now, after it works without a password, create a droplet from this favorite. Tell it to not prompt for password. When you drag something on the droplet, the username isn't populate and the transfer
fails. Even if you tell it to prompt for password (and you leave this blank), it fails. The only way around it is to configure the favorite with a saved password, and save the password in the droplet.
Everytime they release an update, I try the software again, but until this issue gets addressed, I will not buy it.

Type: CommentsDate: 11 Aug 2007 17:45I agree that Logitech software is crap, but it's free and the newest version seems less buggy than past versions. I have faith that VMware will fix the issue or Logitech will fix their issue.

Type: CommentsDate: 6 Aug 2007 19:04FYI, this version does not work well with Logitech Control Center 2.2.2. When running the two together, opening Fusion and moving the mouse into the Fusion window causes the on screen display for LCC to come up showing the cap-lock going on and off. Pretty annoying and I feel sure someone at VMware must be using the Logitech crap; if not, time to test it.

Type: CommentsDate: 12 Jun 2007 17:22Looking for a replacement for RSS Menu as it takes up more RAM than Firefox. Added all my feeds, quit application and tried to restart and it won't restart.

Type: CommentsDate: 29 May 2007 18:50for a small app it sure does use a lot of memory. When I restarted it today it was using 500MB real memory and over 1GB of virtual. Can you say leak?

Type: CommentsDate: 23 May 2007 19:32This version is much better. Still, if I have Growl setup to make feed updates sticky if idle and leave the computer for 6 hrs or so, if a feed has been updated multiple times (say Slashdot, it was updated every 30 minutes and has a new article, then updated again 30 minutes later with 2 new articles), for each feed update I have multiple sticky windows for each feed when I come back.
Thanks to the author for all the bug fixes in this version!

Type: CommentsDate: 20 May 2007 21:45Hasn't been right for me since 1.8.3, but even then, it wasn't perfect.
Everytime it restarts it thinks all items are new, when in reality, they are not.
I leave the Growl notifications to not be sticky, but go sticky when idle for 30 secs. I come back and my screen is full of notifications; not one for each feed updated, but if feeds were updated multiple times, then I may have several notifications.

Type: CommentsDate: 14 May 2007 09:31Works great for me! Glad I don't have to wait on Microsoft to update RDP for intel anymore; not to mention their lack of support for mutiple sessions at once. The only thing it is missing for me is remote drive/printer support. Sound support too, but that's not a big deal for me.

Type: CommentsDate: 19 Apr 2007 20:18Doh! Perhaps I didn't get it! I guess what I was trying to say was that it would be nice to use the same password database cross-platform and a way to securely sync your data between multiple instances. I know about Roboform but I'm not buying software to do this for my work computer. I guess the keychain integration sort of blows a Windows port of the water.
And yes, Windows does Blow :)

Type: CommentsDate: 1 Apr 2007 10:02Just wondering if there was anything in the works for autofill. It seems to me like an obvious step towards full integration. Combining this with autosubmit (on sites that support it - this is nice that this is configurable on a per-site basis). Otherwise, this product looks great. I only wish it was available for Windows too!

Type: CommentsDate: 30 Jan 2007 18:13When I moved to the Mac from Linux, the program I missed most was 'qiv'. This thing was SO fast at viewing images, it blew all the other apps away. I have never found a good replacement for qiv on the Mac until NOW. This app rocks. The only addition would be to allow the customization of hotkeys. Other than that, no issues at alL!

Type: CommentsDate: 26 Jun 2006 08:07It would be nice if the genie showed you how much space was being taken up by each app and their associated files. Since this would take longer to process, it might be an option button within the genie.

Type: CommentsDate: 15 Jun 2006 18:55Version 1.8 has changed icons (specifically the menu bar icon). I actually liked the old icons (with shadows) so I was wondering what the motivation was to chagne the icons when they looked great to begin with.
