BROCK SAMSON  Anyone know of a way to capture system audio (not from the mic) at the same time so that you end up with a video with sound?

BROCK SAMSON  Safari (3.2.1) won't load Flash correctly with SafariStand installed.

Videos display "Plugin - click to load." even with "Load plug-in Manually" and "Site Alteration" unchecked. This problem started after installing, and then subsequently uninstalling Safari 4 beta.

BROCK SAMSON  Used to be my main editor until I started having to open large files on a network share - very slow and painful. TextWrangler ended up being more than twice as fast at opening the same file (by "opening" I mean bringing up the file and having the ability to scroll through all of the text without hanging).

BROCK SAMSON  What does this have to do with Limewire specifically?

The same thing can be done with almost any PTP program. This is the risk you take when you share copyrighted material.

BROCK SAMSON  I take it back... this program is not a crap shoot at all.

It's very reliably buggy to the point of being completely useless.

Do yourself a favor, if you manage to get it to work, save all of the wallpapers you like and then ditch this POS.

BROCK SAMSON  I'll second all of the issues that have been raised already... and add that with 2 monitors it's even more iffy.

"Crap shoot" is the right term.

Nice features, but it's just not stable, and no updates in over a year.

BROCK SAMSON  Understood - you need to be careful.

I use InsomniaX right now so that I can close my lid while I carry my laptop from my office on the 2nd floor to the lab on the first. That way, I don't lose the wireless connection and I don't need to reestablish all of the SSH sessions that were active at the time... so it's sleeping with the lid closed for about three minutes tops.

ZONSOFTWARE  Yes, it will not prevent when you close the lid. It's not the purpose of the application.

Maybe I look to add this feature.

SYHARRIS  Well, preventing sleep mode when lid is closed on a laptop could pose a real safety issue, i.e., if lid is closed and laptop is then put into a bag while laptop is still on, it could cause laptop to overheat, possibly causing a fire; a definite problem on an airplane flight.

GEORG WACKER  Yes it does, at the lowest setting your drive will be working at 1x transfer speed, in most cases that is enough for audio-cds or dvds. If you get lost frames in video, simply give it a bit more speed.

However, if you want to copy some files from a backup-dvd you should deactivate DiscRotate temporarily.

For even easier drive settings a menu status item will be featured in version 0.3

BROCK SAMSON  Keeps "forgetting" the shell script I've specified to run for one of my zones (i.e., it's no longer visible in the configuration window after I've changed to a different zone and back again). Tried deleting PersistentStore.xml, tried opening up the permissions on the script, tried recreating the script - no dice.
