BOBMAC  Downloaded and used this version for 45 minutes. It only loaded two of ten pages, gave me mumbo-jumbo 'couldn't find the server' messages on the other (complete baloney, Firefox 'found' them all. Going back to 3.2.1 right now!

BOBMAC  Macgeek914 - the new release (1.1) works just dandy on my MBP 10.5.4 - love the new interface. Thanks for the rewrite of this - it cleared up whatever weird problem I had with 1.0 and 1.0.1.

BOBMAC  I've installed version 1.0 and today 1.01 and can't get either to work - every time the dialog box tells me encryption failed and to contact the developer.

MACGEEK914  Hello bobmac, what type of file are you trying to encrypt? Did you try a different key?

BOBMAC  Developer: thanks for responding. I tried several different keys and several types of files - pdf, rtf, .doc. So far nothing has worked.

MACGEEK914  Hi bobmac: Unfortunately I can't find any reason why the application won't perform correctly on your machine. All of my beta testers and myself have no issues with the encryption functions, and I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.4 too...

I'm extremely sorry about this, a complete rewrite of BitEncrypt is in the works.

BOBMAC  I'd love to give this thing a try but I couldn't get it to accept any writing, either in the main panel or in notes. Maybe someone can tell me how to get it to work? I'm on a Macbook Pro, OS 10.4.10.

RUBAIYAT  Appfelz

May I suggest that you start with a default Work and default Chapter.

I remember this entrance door to an office in La Défense in Paris.

It epitomised Modern Design. It had no handles, push panels or visible hinges nor indicators as to which way it swung, slid or hinged.

And of course it did not open automatically as you approached.

It was probably designed by an Alien.

To summarise, good design does not mean: Possessing a secret, and making everyone else guess what that is. Nor putting the instructions: Somewhere-Else.

BOBMAC  Okay, I ran the chron scripts, cleaned user caches, repaired disc permissions, restarted and still get a message the dmg has no usable files. Drat. Running 10.4.9 on a MacBook Pro.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  Does the downloaded file have the dreaded .bz2 suffix on it? If so, remove that .bz2 suffix and the .dmg will mount.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  Just checked it, downloaded it and the .dmg mounts, no trouble. Maybe clear your browser cache, quit/relaunch your browser, try again to download/mount the .dmg. Maybe just restart your Mac... or maybe it is time to run your system utils. Who knows...

BOBMAC  Is version 1505 buggy? I can't get it to update themes at all. After several minutes I try to quit and am informed I'll cancel the download which never comes anyway. Anyone else having this problem? I'm on a G4 PBook, OS 10.4.7.

CJCORMACK  Have you tried copying the folder TNTT from the disk image to ~/Library/Application Support/? Instructions are in the file README.txt on the disk image. (This will be automated in the next build :))
