BMEEKS24  Is there any app like this (this is a great app BTW) that includes the recording piece with it? This is for my wife - and I am trying to set it up as simple as possible and would prefer to keep her from needing to use audacity too...

BMEEKS24  Still loving this one. I use it twice a week at church. It is awesome.

Now my only con is that I wish it had a better input meter. I am trying ProLevel, but the hooks needed to make it work make it a cumbersome mess - I would love to see that sort of input level meter on the app - one that has RMS and peak hold. I keep having trouble getting a good loud recording - it will sometimes be either too low or peaked out. I am usually recording myself live and cannot monitor the whole time.

Something even cooler would be a real-time software volume monitor at the input, like Garageband - like a personal engineer riding the fader.

It is still just the coolest performance recorder on the market. Get it!!!!

Strobe Tuner

BMEEKS24  This is a great strobe tuner for an amazing price. I can't afford to get it today, but I like it so much that I can't wait till payday to show this guy how much I appreciate his hard work. The interface is slick and the accuracy is spot on for setting the intonation on my guitars. I don't have a clue what the advanced options mean, but I can learn later - for now - A440 is all I need to get my gear set up.

I really like his ProLevel meter too - I plan to get that one next - it is a great meter that I wish were built in to my DAP!!!

Good job,

Bobby

BMEEKS24  Funny - you are right, I was looking at the shortcuts as listed in the menu bar - but +/- and m all work. I am a man's man - so I don't read manuals!!! Maybe a good time to start once i get the egg off my face! I also learned how to make custom shortcuts and made it how I like it - so this is really a great title.

BMEEKS24  I like the features - and it does EXACTLY what I needed. I wanted something that would record church sermons and music ministry - and allow me to set markers for tracks and click one button to split and create complete MP3 files.

The cost is perfect too!

Now the one major con - and it is huge in my opinion.

Who the @#**^%* came up with the key shortcuts?

Zoom in and our CMD G?

Zoom to selection CMD J?

Marker insert is SHIFT CMD M - not CMD M as one would think - but if you do inadvertently hit CMD M - then you will minimize the window.

A minor con - the preview wav at the top of the screen doesnt show playhead position - but it is helpful when zoomed in.

But overall - this is a great application and I will probably buy it. But I must say that for double the money - Sound Studio is also very clean and does a great job, but it also has it's cons - mainly (as stated) it costs twice as much! But the controls are a bit more intuitive.

SJK  Apple considers Command-M a recommended Minimize shortcut:

• Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts

• Keyboard Shortcuts Quick Reference

MSWFUJOWDFFYC  I recommend to make your own sortcuts. This can be done in the System Preferences.

ANONYMOUS  Zoom in / out is also just +/- and creating a marker is just 'm', which I think is as intuitive as it gets ;-) Note also that:

- There is a list of available shortcuts in the manual.

- The shortcuts of menu items can be fully customised in the system preferences.

BMEEKS24  Why is this free? This is a great app for someone that is used to MS Proj - it just works like it should. Only used it a bit - but all seems great and clean - very nice job.

BMEEKS24  Clunky compared to OpenProj - but good to see free apps under development.

BMEEKS24  This is just what I needed. I used some crappy folder sync program that hosed my external drive and filled it with "._" files... This was able to clear it right up and get all those junkies outta there.

Thumbs up.

The Big Mean Folder Machine
Mar 26 2009

BMEEKS24  I am downloading now - but I hope this is what I am looking for. I am trying to merge all of my iTunes folders from three windows machines and my MacBook. There are many files that are duplicated and I want one comprehensive backup on a single external drive. I hope this does the trick.

If so - then it will also be great for merging the images from the same set of computers. I have digital pictures from 1998 to present and (depending on who in the house downloaded them to the PC) the naming convention is all but standard.

Again - I hope this is the holy grail I am looking for!!!! But that is why it is different (in theory) from Finder.

BMEEKS24  This is a really good piece of software. I have used it to make two songs for my church group to sing along to while I play acoustic guitar - and it is very easy. You can stick an image in the background or even a video clip. Pretty cool if you ask me. The price is great as well!!!!

BMEEKS24  I would like to see the price come down to what the others are ($5 for 150G vs $10 for 100G) and I also would like to see the iDrive-like ability to manage users. Looks good otherwise.
