BETATESTER I bought about 3 weeks before the bundle and it was version 1.5 (I think)… (Version 2.0.3)

BETATESTER Seems like I'm one of the whingers… I bought a lot of shareware already, and also paid for Acorn. Maybe the app is not sold enough, so the ones who bought it have to pay again now. I can accept apps, which made a major update every 1 or 2 years, for which you have to pay. But I don't think Acorn is one of that kind. This seems like one of the sharewares you have to pay more often, so I prefer to be "out" now. (Version 2.0.2)

BUMBLEB Who ever said that an app has to go slowly through lots of minor updates, to be qualified to serve a major update with exciting new features? Personally I think it is welcome. The developer has been har at work, upgrade or don't - and of course Macheist bundles are an incentive to upgrade sooner or later. (Version 2.0.3)

MenuTunes | Jan 27 2009 |
BETATESTER Looke nice and if the system wide artist or album browsing would work, this would be great. But for me, only the playlist browsing works… Artist or album browsing does not (maybe because my iTunes library is to big…? Without it, MenuTunes still is nice, but I stay with Spark for the keyboard shortcuts and info window… because I need Spark for my apple scripts anyway. (Version 1.7.2)

BETATESTER I searched for a different place to ask, but couldn't find any… This looks very nice, but I have 1 problem: In the Parameter Settings, instruments, the "default synthesizer" is the only option to choose… but there is nothing to hear. A recorded movie has sound, but the live window not. I have a mac intel 10.5.6 (Version 1.8b1)

File Buddy | Dec 23 2008 |
BETATESTER I always liked File Buddy in the past, but now I have to say it seems like a dead program… There are a lot of things, that don't work on Leopard anymore (set rights, owner, permission, move files,…) and this is known to the developer since a long time. He even told me (when I bought the app nearly 1 year ago) that the next version will come soon and will solve all problems and of course, you can buy it now and will keep the SN for the next version… Don't fall for it, like I did. (Version 9.0.1)

BETATESTER works on my iMacIntel, but why did you remove the german localization? So I'll stay with the "old" ppc version, which always worked well for me too and is localized. Beside of my "complain" this is a really great and elegant app. I never found something I like more for this purpose... (Version 1.2)

BETATESTER I tried it again... Deleted all old files and preferences and installed Butler 4.1.2 new. Still it uses 250 MB memory after the first start on my iMac Intel and I haven't found a way to change this (preferences). Since I never got a response from the developer, but also never read from anybody with the same problem, I again want to ask here, if this should be normal on a mac intel, because it's not ok for me... (Version 4.1.2)

68KMLA 18MB of RAM in use here by Butler on my first-gen MacBook. Nothing to suggest, just wanted to let you know it isn't an Intel-specific thing. (Version 4.1.2)

N. SILVA Are you looking at virtual memory or real memory? My Butler with a bunch of customizations uses 283 MB of virtual memory but only 28 MB of real memory, which seems reasonable. For comparison, Quicksilver used 226 MB of virtual memory and 21 MB of real memory. (These numbers come from the Activity Monitor application.) (Version 4.1.2)

SafariBlock | May 24 2006 |
BETATESTER I have the same problem like RICHARD PINNEAU. When I "right click" in safari with SafariBlock enabled, safari crashes... I use SafarBlock on an iMac Intel.

BETATESTER As I wrote, I use Butler on a mac intel and I set the menu cache to the smallest size possible. Just tested the new 4.1.1 version and it still uses 270 MB memory right after the start. It is a pity, because this is not acceptable for me and so I can't use Butler... (Version 4.1.1)

BETATESTER "minimal resources"? On my intel mac it uses more then 250 MB memory, which doesn't seem "minimal" to me... I wrote 2 times to the developer, but got no answer. Except from this, nice app... (Version 4.1)

BETATESTER .... nice, like everybody says. But it uses 250physic./625virt. MB memory on my iMacIntel, right after the first start. Seems to much for me.... (Version 4.0.1)
