BENW  The window didn't always come to the front in older versions. I believe it should (and does) always come to the front in 3.39beta. If you still have trouble with this version, please email me.

BENW  Sorry about this. If you're on 10.4/Tiger, it should be fixed in Isolator 3.3. If you're on Leopard, it's a problem I haven't heard about before, in which case please let me know. My email is on the Isolator web page.

BENW  It does work fine for me. But please do send a more detailed bug report (my email is on the Isolator website) if you are consistently experiencing problems with it.

BENW  3.2 was incompatible with 10.4 (Tiger), hence the freezing problem. Hopefully this is fixed in 3.3. If not, please let me know (email on website).

BENW  Hi Babyfett -- I think you are just looking for a different set of features. Isolator keeps one application in the foreground, and obscures the rest. So when you switch away from Word (say), your Word windows will be obscured. You might be interested in Think, which works differently.

The idea of the 'Hide Dock' option is that you can have the Dock displayed during normal use, and just have it hide when you turn Isolator on. If you normally have the Dock on auto-hide, that feature won't be useful to you.

BENW  Replies to various comments, as of version 0.85:

Text formatting options are available if you download WebKit and use the experimental WebKit enabled version of Gmail Browser (see the web page for details).

You can now change the home page, so it should work with GAFYD.

Saving your information works for me; perhaps those who are having trouble with this have cookies disabled in Safari?

The privacy/google logging implications of this are identical to using Safari.

As for WHY, a logical separation of Gmail from the rest of the web is really useful for some people, including me. Of course, it's not interesting to everyone.
