BEDSTUY65  Everytime I run, even with few/no other applications open this program always "stops responding" in Activity Monitor.

I don't trust it to do anything with my supposed unwanted files until this is fixed.

**...

BEDSTUY65  Crashes several times a day. I'd suggest keeping in beta for another 6 months until you work this out. Otherwise it looks great but that' not worth much if it doesn't completely work.

BILLY RAY VALENTINE  My sincere apologies.

I really hope to get the 1.7 update out soon, but there's just one thing that I'm waiting for :(

In addition, I have really little time to work on this, I'm usually very busy with other things.

Thanks for understanding!

BEDSTUY65  I've been using this program for around 4 years and only lately have I ever had any problems. I don't know what's been going on with these updated for "bugs" every 2-3 days but the bugs are still there. Every time I open this program lately it seems to make other applications freeze up.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  While I don't and never have used this app, I'm guessing that it might be a good idea to delete the preferences file for this app, it may be named something like 'acquisition.plist'.

Also, you might consider checking for a folder in your Application Support folder for a folder with the name Acquisition in its label and delete that too.

These are basic troubleshooting steps that one should take with any app when one is experiencing problems.

BEDSTUY65  everytime I open this version it tells me to go and download the "new"A 4.0.6 from Chronos website. And when I do so it's incompatible with my database.

WAY TO GO!

BEDSTUY65  the 9.1 update hangs but I think it actually installs as it shows up in Finder. the 9.5 update completely doesn't work -- you'll get an error 14 message

BEDSTUY65  all I get is a "blank" software agreement form and when I hit "agree" it says

The iTunes application could not be opened. There is not enough memory available... which is of course BS because half of my 400GB is free.

SCUIRT  I had the same problem. I tracked it down to Flip4Mac. I uninsalled all related files (http://www.flip4mac.com/fusetalk/forum/messageview.aspx?catid=10&threadid=790&enterthread=y) and then iTunes worked. It gave me the error message once but on second launch it worked.

Good Luck.

MICKMCQ  My problem was a blank license agreement, and the following error message when I clicked agree. "The iTunes application could not be opened. There is not enough memory." I googled that error and tried every solution I found. Finally, I heeded a suggestion to look at /Applications/Utilities/Console, where I found that I was loading the Digidesign CoreAudio Plugin, even though I stopped using DigiDesign hardware months ago. I found the uninstall procedure at the Digidesign website. (the procedure is to remove it from Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL) Since the driver was still loaded, I restarted. I started iTunes immediately after rebooting and the license agreement looked normal, and clicking agree started iTunes normally.

BEDSTUY65  The satellite imagery used for Google/Maps is more up to date than for Google/Earth. Stunningly so. Compare both images of Ground Zero in Manhattan. Must be off by more than a year.
