BDIKKAT  Great. Except how do you turn it off? There should be a menu extra or something. I get the impression that launching the app again should toggle it on/off, but it doesn't.

Can't turn it off!

BDIKKAT  Now, in version 3.3, certain programs - like the current NASA Part 2 - appear to download extremely quickly, but the files are not openable in QuickTime.

NAOH  You might want to check if the BBC iPlayer website requires the viewer to click on a confirmation strip on the video clips that you are trying to download.

For example age restricted content gets a red strip across the bottom of the preview image. Unless the viewer clicks on the strip, the video won't download.

This has prevented me from successfully downloading a few videos in the past.

I don't know if it's something the developer will be able to work around.
