BASSISTJE Thanks so much for your help but it still doesn't work.
Reinstalling v6 is not the problem but with upgrading to v7 my Previous Library got lost(???)
The only reason I want v6 back is that I can play my selfmade videos again.I also use TubeSock to rip YouTube videos but neither are working in v7.They're still in the library though..Same problem for Vodcasts.
Nothing to see..All I can do now is never connecting my iPod again to save the vids. (Version 7.0)
AND_ROO To reinstall iTunes from yout iLife dvd - control click the 'iLife 06.mpkg' file and select 'show package contents' open the 'contents' folder and then the 'Installers' folder reinstall iTunes from the 'iTunesForiLife.mpkg' intstaller (Version 7.0)
AND_ROO Sorry to take so long in replying - I took the plunge and installed 7 too...and I must agree, what a beta it is! On the + side I've worked out how to get around the no item glitch and intstall the old itunes from your iLife DVD or the above link
You need to delete 2 files before running the installer
remove 'iTunesX.pkg' file from the root (ie double click your hard drive icon) - Library/receipts folder - to make sure your getting the right one do a get info on the file and make sure its got version: iTunes 7.0.0 in its general description.
and the file 'iTunes Library' from your 'username account folder'/Music/iTunes.
then reinstall as described above - and drop your iTunes music library folder on iTunes application icon to rebuild your collection sorry but the newer iTunes library file just won't work with the old iTunes - good luck. (Version 7.0)

AND_ROO v7 makes a new Library and backs up the old one (usually in Users/yourusername/Music/iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries.
You need to replace the new with the old taking care to rename it the same as the one youre replacing iTunes 7 adds old and the date to your pervious one. You will then be able to re-run 6.0.5 pkg with all your music still in place (Version 7.0)
AND_ROO I'm confused ?? There are 2 ways to get iTunes 6 going again one is to 4th reply and the 2nd is a combination of the 4th & 6th reply which takes you back to a pre 7 state.
When you say 'When dropping the Old Library on the icon it says: This library was made with a newer version of iTunes' are you droping the;
BASSISTJE MTR worked great until today..After "succesfully" ripping a 3Gb DVD to a external FireWire drive I couldn't find the Video_TS folder. Instead it ripped 3Gb off my internal drive without leaving a file.I tried to find this file with Spotlight and WhatSize but no results whatsoever..Does anyone here have the same problem? Thank you (Version 2.6.6)
WISEWEASEL It probably got saved in your /Volumes/ directory, in a folder with the same name as your removable drive. When you set MTR to save to a removable drive, and then that drive becomes unavailable, it will actually create a new directory in /Volumes/ with the same name as the removable drive. To get to it, you can select the "Go to Folder" option in the 'Go' menu in the Finder (or hit command-shift-G), and enter the location "/Volumes/" (minus quotes). (Version 2.6.6)
