BASHOSFROG I've got problems with CP 3.5.1, but I'm blocked from the Objective Decision website - can't send emails, can't view the support forums, nothing. My ISP is one of Australia's largest, I'm a professional who sends dozens of emails around the world each day - and this is apparently the only way I can get to Objective Decision and say, HEY! fix your server and give me support! ALTIMAC I'm one of the developer. Please contact me at altimac@carrafix.com. Precise it is about Contactizer. It is my personal email address. You are the second Australian to report problem with our servers located in the US. I honestly don't know what to do, but my personal email address is not Objective Decision related and should work correctly. (Version 3.5.1)

MoneyWorks Cashbook | Nov 6 2007 |
BASHOSFROG I've been using Cashbook for about three years for my freelance business. Everything goes into it with maximum ease, and you can get the results out in just about any configuration you want. It's a serious business-class tool for keeping financial records, without the learning overhead that goes into double-entry accounting systems (which Cognito produce too). Support is prompt, the app is rock solid, and it works exactly as expected. Highly recommended. PS. I'm in Australia: Cashbook handles GST in its stride. (Version 5.0.8)

BASHOSFROG Just got a response from my ISP. Hope Objective-Decision can use this to address the issue - it seems that I may not be the only one. Might want to pass this information to your web designer too. I'm actually having trouble using it from a number of locations, some places work and some don't. What seems has happened is that it's got a block on a range of IP addresses. Seems to stop at a Lunar Webpages server, and after that you can't get past it. It's usually very unlikely that Website/Web host would block a range of IP addresses as there's no point to it, unless they are trying to stop spammers/hackers, but in this case The other thing is if this site recently had it's DNS updated, some ISP's may have trouble getting the site for up to 48 hours while the DNS is propagating around the world. Finally, I've checked into blocked sites/IP's from our end and found no block going to this site.

BASHOSFROG Ha! Got onto the site via a wireless LAN I'm testing, bought CP, and am up and running. But I still can't access the site from my usual modem. Have emailed the ISP to see what's going on. Thanks for all your help, figman. Objective Decision owes you a free licence ... (Version 3.1.4)

BASHOSFROG The help is appreciated. I did as advised in the Keychain - no luck. I fiddled with turning the firewall on and off - no luck. I tried Opera - etc. I'm just about to give the machine a workover with Onyx (although I already use Applejack fairly frequently). It might be an issue that can only be dealt with from the objective-decision website, as in the admin looks at why this particular machine is blocked. (Version 3.1.4)

BASHOSFROG Odd. Weeks later, I still can't get onto the website, or send an email. I always get a "timed-out" response, no matter whether I use OmniWeb, Safari, Firefox or NetNewsWire (and mails still bounce). I've got no idea what goes on - I can access the rest of the web without a problem. I'll just have to resign myself to not having CP. (Version 3.1.4)

I have submitted this on the O_D forums...let's see if we can track down why you are having problems. Again...I use their forums/website every day, and the app is the closest thing I can find to their windows counterparts that works like it is supposed to for a CRM on the Mac. It is about to get even better with a new upcoming release...and they have a sale going on right now too.. Let's see if I can get some assistance in helping you! (Version 3.1.4)

FIGMAN4 I'll let you know... By the way I just downloaded Omniweb and went to the site (just in case)...it worked just fine..so there may be some bizarre internal setting causing an issue...do you know anyone else that you could try it on their computer? It would be nice to welcome you to our community...so...let's try this...here is the link to the forums for CP..let's see if going to a different page works better for you. http://www.objective-decision.com/forum/ (Version 3.1.4)

FIGMAN4 Hopefully you are not tired of me trying to help yet...If you google your error it comes up with an Omniweb forum link...I followed those to this possible solution.. Go to Applications > Utilities: Open Keychain Access Keychain Access > Preferences: 'Certificates' Check - 'Online Certificate Status Protocol' (OCSP): OFF Also check in Keychain Access the keychain 'X509Anchors' for any Certificates with a Red Cross beside them ...... highlight these and delete them (they are invalid). If you are willing this might help out...just keep the instructions in case you need to reverse this process. It seems to be a known bug in some systems. (Version 3.1.4)

BOBBBY I am having the same problem with the Objective-decision site. I have been scratching my head for the past week trying to figure out what might be happening. If the developer reads, could you let me know if there is a fix for this issue?

Contactizer Pro | Sep 11 2008 |
OBJECTIVE DECISION Objective Decision (objective-decision.com) is banned for no reason by Australian and New Zealand's ISPs. We currently do not know why but something like 10 to 20 australians customers can't access anything from objective-decision except probably emails. We are investigating the problem, but honestly Internet is so huge, the problem is so "above us" that we can't fix the problem ourself. Our site host has opened an issue and we are waiting for a solution. (This is complete madness :) ) (Version 3.6.7)

Contactizer Pro | Sep 11 2008 |
BOBBBY Thanks for your swift reply. Guess you can add Hong Kong to that list. Checked with friends and some can access your site and some cannot. From above postings, sounds like you might want to consider hosting your domain with a different provider. Hope it works out for you guys. (Version 3.6.7)

Curio | Jan 31 2006 |
BASHOSFROG Almost brilliant. But I would like to have some means of archiving individual idea spaces, and whole Curio files, that doesn't result in as many files as HTML but preserves all internal and web links. WebArchive perhaps? I'd also like some means of clippings bits and pieces straight into a Curio file, maybe via Services. Drag and drop is a pain on a 12" screen, even with Expose. But if you're looking for a way to lay out your thoughts as if you had an endless physical desktop, this is the way to go (Version 3.0.1)
