Type: CommentsDate: 25 Jun 2007 20:35The developer wrote:
HoudahGPS is merely a front end to GPSBabel.
I couldn't test it with all devices out there, but many people use GPSBabel with great success. The catch is that in order to get Wintec compatibility, I had to resort to a beta version of GPSBabel. This appears to have problems with Garmin devices that I was not aware of when releasing.
You might want to swap out the bundled version of GPSBabel for the latest stable version. Or you could wait for the next version of GPSBabel. When that is released I will issue an update to HoudahGPS.
HoudahGPS was never meant as a competition to LoadMyTracks. LMT is excellent software which I like a lot. It does however not support the Wintec devices. Conversely it supports many devices which GPSBabel does not support. Use what suits your needs. It's free after all. (6/25/2007, Version: 1.0)

Type: CommentsDate: 25 Jun 2007 17:52This doesn't work with OSX 10.4.10 and a Garmin 60Cx. The 60Cx shuts off after using HoudahGPS 1.0 and attempting to download a track to the computer. Did the developer test this app before releasing it as version 1.0?
However, Load My Tracks works great!

Type: CommentsDate: 31 Mar 2007 22:59Finally!
I tried it with a G5 dual 1.8, OSX 10.4.9, and a Garmin 60Cx.
It upgraded the software and GPS firmware, with no problems.
BTW, Garmin has also released POI Loader for Mac OSX:

Type: CommentsDate: 1 Feb 2007 20:06Sweet! Parallels is now able to run Garmin Mapsource CN North America v8 and Garmin Training Center. I can attach my Garmin Forerunner 205 via USB, and download data.

Type: CommentsDate: 11 Aug 2006 00:40Nice. I used it with GPSPhotolinker, a Canon SD700 and a Garmin 60Cx.
I haven't yet figured out how to place the location of the photos on Google Earth which also has the track of my bikeride or hike. I'll experiment some more.
Thanks to the author for providing this nice app.

Type: CommentsDate: 14 Jun 2006 11:20I have been using WebPics since 2004. It is a wonderful web gallery construction tool. Easy to use and the results are excellent.
The developer has upgraded the program over the years, and this version (2.8) is the best yet.

Type: ReviewDate: 16 Apr 2006 15:46I have been using OtherTime for over a year. It is very nice, it works well, and is easy to use and set-up.
Thanks to the developer for making this little program available for free.

Type: ReviewDate: 22 Mar 2006 19:20UPDATE:
I contacted the developer and he replied:
"There's no preference (yet) for display attributes in LoadMyTracks.
However, in google earth, if you right click on the track in the Places pane and then select Edit... and then select Advanced, you can adjust the visual properties including width, color, and opacity.
It's on the list, though, for customization features for the export."
Worked like a charm!

Type: ReviewDate: 22 Mar 2006 17:09Very nice! This is the first piece of software I have found that recognizes my Garmin GPS 60Cx's USB port.
I do have a suggestion/request:
When I save the tracks as a KML file and open GoogleEarth, the track is white, which makes the track almost invisible. I looked at both LoadMyTracks and GoogleEarth for a preference to change the color of the track, but was not able to select a different color. Am I missing something?
Once again, very nice!

Type: CommentsDate: 27 Mar 2004 19:01Thank you. I have been using version 3.2 for quite some time, and it has always done what I wanted. 3.4 is a cut above 3.2, thanks for all of your efforts Simon!
