ATTENTIONWANDERED but still, it really is unethical. open source is about giving back to the community besides it makes absolutely no sense anyways, people use bittorrent because they hate paying for things (usually, i know there are legitamite downloads but seriously) why would you pay for a bittorrent client that will never be faster than its open source counterpart? the only step up is searching, but being part of a community and knowing of www.google.com and www.scrapetorrent.com makes this completely useless i do give the author some credit though, he is simplifying torrenting for the masses, and maybe it will catch on, but still. ATTENTIONWANDERED alright here is my feedback: the curtian is a cool idea if you dont have front row, but it doesnt work at all. doesnt show current song playing, doesnt show switch. just the rating (which is odd) the window is a little big, i really dont need that much space just to state the artist. there is no search button, i really think it needs a button to open and close the search window (which does work well). also, right off the bat there is an applescript error (as mentioned below) and it refuses to work without growl. i dont use growl, i wont use growl, so an option to just skip the whole growl thing would be nice thanks for trying, a little work and this application would be some hot stuff. peace (Version 1.0RC1)

GREGW It "displays scaled pictures from a specified folder (several at a time) and fades them out replacing them with new images." Except for the iTunes cover art one, all of the picture-displaying screen savers that come with the OS show a single picture at a time, full screen. They do a slow zoom and then transition to a new image. The iTunes saver shows a couple of dozen images in a grid and periodically flips one over to show a different image, so it's closer in net effect but with a different presentation and only displays images from a single, non-configurable location. YUMMYDODD attentionwandered - somehow i doubt you've been using alarm clock 2. i say this because of your quote: "...but it rarely actually plays itunes" first of all, alarm clock 2 doesn't play music through iTunes. just by reading the comments for aurora, we all know this to be a good thing. in fact, the developer of aurora had so many problems, he had to go in and make a failsafe for when iTunes doesn't play! second, me and all my mac friends use alarm clock 2 and we've never (not once) had a problem with it over the course of about a month now. so if you're actually being honest, then i'll bet you'll also have problems with the "failsafe" in aurora, since it uses the same technique as alarm clock 2. (Version 2.0)

Aurora | May 26 2006 |
JONAS WITT With "deep sleep" I mean the state where your Mac is off. To learn how to use that feature, read http://metaquark.de/content/software/aurora/howto/index.html#preferences - basically, you'll need to enable auto-login for your user and have Aurora in your login items. yummyDodd is right when he says that playback through iTunes is not 100% reliable (when you use AirTunes, for example), and that's why I included the fallback player in version 2.0 - this gives you all of iTunes' features (other alarm clocks don't support AirTunes, for example), but 100% reliability.
