ASTROFLOWER You are correct, DES is not that secure. In order to attack with brute force it would require some work but it would also require you to know what the data is. For text this isn't that hard, you decode until you get readable text. For AstroShare/AstroView its more difficult because you're dealing with graphical data. Also, the attacker would have to know the boundary of messages. In the future we will be adding more robust encryption. Using the MD5/DES combination for every packet makes AstroShare and AstroView the most secure remote desktop solution right now.
