Very sorry! Old version of Perian installed. Works even better than ever now - I like 'Download from Safari'. |
I just updated as prompted and now I'm getting no sound (and no recordings either, even though it goes through the motions). So no iPod content for me this week... |
Thanks. The new features look like just what I need. I have some big .pdfs to get stuck into so I'll let you know how I get on (now that I am paid up!). |

This is easily my favourite visualiser. The effects are stunning. I beamed this onto the ceiling at a party. Although there are only a few main themes, their ability to vary with the music are impressive. As with all visualisers, I wish there was a way to run them outside iTunes so that they can be easily assigned to a second monitor (full screen) and react to audio from the built-in microphone. Any developers know if this would be possible? |
Still looking... Any chance of 1.0.2? (The version with the batch convert is the one I really want I guess. Good luck with that) |
Great to hear an "export all" command is on the way. Yes you are right, the images were scanned into Word on a PC (It's the quickest way to use the sheet-feeding scanner in the office). I have many of these documents and I would love to be able to turn every page into a high quality PNG file. Why should the application ignore the images just because they are large and occupy the whole page? |
I tried this and the poor quality of the images makes them unusable. I tried exporting png and tiff files and the size was pointlessly small. How come you can control the thumbnail size but not the actual image size?! |
Neat interface but where's the "export all" option that would make it a very worthwhile purchase (if it opened the documents I have in mind, which it doesn't - email on the way!). |
Doesn't work for me. Brings system to a crawl due to massive memory usage. "Could not save document - there was an error" |
Great software despite a needlessly innovative interface. Capable of some cool effects and very compatible with iWork. Try buying a licence without registration backup service though. No don't bother, you can't. So don't forget, it costs slightly more than they say. But hey, you don't need to write down your keycode. |
It does exactly what it says - it's great for getting resources up on the screen quickly in class. I wish the images were automatically 'constrained' to their proportions. I usually have to mask and scale A4 portrait sized things so that they are readable at 800 x 600. |
Current version seems to work well. Multiple muted recordings seems to record fine. Macupdate says it's PPC but it is in fact a universal application. It's well worth the registration fee if you want BBC content to listen to on your iPod at your convenience. I haven't played with the scheduling yet but what would be really cool is if the software was able to automatically record certain programmes from the 'listen again' pages (when I happen to be online, rather than live). A bit like Podcasting, but without the required BBC commitment. |
Doesn't seem to work with 10.4.8. Gave various warnings and then seemed to freeze up. |
This is just great! Now I can ditch InDesign for almost everything in favour of Pages. The interface is excellent. Couldn't be easier. Thank you very much. I guess it might be useful to set an overlap amount which can sometimes make sticking together easier. |

Just downloading the fix for the edit path crash - good to see the developer stays on top of things if they crop up. Overall the program has lots of features but unfortunately I find it a struggle moving from Keynote/Pages/iWeb to Intaglio. In terms of content the compatibility is excellent, pasting between them, etc. However, I wish conventions and keyboard shortcuts were closer. In other words, I wish Intaglio was the drawing app Apple never released! I realise big changes might alienate existing customers but I wish I could customise Intaglio to be more like an iWork app. I own lots of shareware apps and what I love is the way so many follow conventions and style guidelines - that's what makes them so easy to use. Here's some suggestions for a more iWork/Cocoa-like experience: Make triple click text select whole line Make command-0 zoom to fit width Allow move back/front etc on the tool bar Allow flexible space in toolbar Preference setting to allow the select tool to select items intersected rather than completely surrounded by the bounding box. This really bugs me! Allow shift-arrow to nudge 10x Free rotate. Make this possible by pressing command? Temporarily ignore guides by pressing command? Hope that helps. Just a few thoughts. |

This App is amazingly useful but not intuitive. When I select record for a while and select okay to everything, I can't then press play on the media player. The 'blob' goes orange... Why does a second window open yet they both indicate that recording it taking place? I tried opening multiple copies of the software but the audio streams that I recorded overlapped with each other. Sorry if I'm being dim. |
