I use Cyberduck all the time. Good app. The only thing I dont like about the 3.0 beta versions is that usually the bookmarks will not be visible. I like to drag-and-drop things on them, rather than in the window so I dont get springloaded folders accidentally opening and stuff, and so i know exactly where the file will go. THe drawer was a nicer bookmark interface. |

WARNING TO NEW USERS: 2.4.5r2 is NOT the stable version of Gimp. There are still some problems with this version. Most people would be better served by the official version that still runs under X11. BTW - I cannot type anything into the save dialog box in this version to name the file I am going to save - the keyboard types through to the other windows and chooses tools instead of naming the file. |

dont know, but the ardour supplies some packages of plugins that they compiled themselves - these installers should put the plugins in a place where Ardour will look for them. Also I think Audiounit support is in the cards for future development. |

no. Ardour actually uses jack as its audio engine - not just as another core audio interface. Ardour wil not work without jack. On linux Jack is more than just a way to send audio around - it also is an audio engine and a way to send timecode around to sync applications simialr to rewire. Its just that there are not many mac apps that support jack natively. PD is one I can think of that can. |

I a really excited about trying this, but it does not seem to be able to save anything - I just get "iCompta[10430] Invalid store URL: nil" in the console when I try to save... |

I just had the same thing happen to me with GlowWorm-1.5.3b4 on 10.5.2! Thankfully I had already read your post and removed the kext before force-restarting so I didn't have to go through safe mode. This program, while I'm sure it is good intentioned, needs some work. best, Arvid |

You only ever need to install the last major version on the last patch - they include all previous patches in the current one. So its not a big deal... I love NeoOffice. It's a tad slow on my powerbook G4... but it always gets the job done! And due to openoffice's stability and good auto-saving/recovery features, I've only once lost more than a sentence worth of work from a crash in more than 4 years of using openoffice/neooffice. |

This looks really cool... I just wish php documents would also update as you type like html documents do. I guess it would have to have its own access to the php engine like Taco HTML Edit does. |

I want to like this app, but so far all it does when I try to connect to an FTP server is beachball ALL my apps for upwards of 5 minutes (I can't do anything at all with the mac, in any app!) then says unmounted next to the FTP account in the MacFUSE list when it is finally done with this. hmm - too mousy for me. A valiant effort, but takes too long to use. You should be able to edit transactions as soon as you have selected them, not have to click a button. Category lists should be bigger so you can see more than 6 categories at once when scrolling, Return key should enter the transaction, etc. Feature-wise I would like to see a way to add notes/titles to splits in a transaction. |

Looks like a really cool little program - I was considering giving it a trial run, except that the preferences are not accessible - preferences does ot appear in any of the menus or at a button anywhere. Also the app has quite the name in the menubar (com.pipocaware.ezmoney.ApplicationLauncher)! But looks really promising! MacOS X 10.4.10, PPC |

Yeah - I think the first public version of Skim DID open maximized - at least of one pagewidth. But since that first release that feature seems to have been broken. I have tried all the settings in the preferences, and even trashed my prefs... |

Smultron is great!!! Just a suggestion for advanced find: It would be fantastic to have a column of check-boxes (default is ON) along with the find results so that you could set some results to not be replaced when you click the replace button. |

Tansparency! Notes appear in the middle of the screen! The best PDF reader ever keeps getting better! Some awkward key commands for making markups, but you can remap them in System Preferences. I made them be Ctrl + a letter that corresponded to the markup type. |

Yeah - commenting tools would make this my PDF reader of choice! Preview's commenting tools are so cool in theory, but just so useless. It seems with so little extra effort and thought they could have been more useful! For instance when u use the big red circles - they should be somewhat transparent -like a highligher because when u circle a word with an oval that fat, it invariably covers up words in the lines above and below, making them unreadable. And the text in text commenting in preview is just to large a font to be useful to me for writing in the margins of PDFs, and there is no way to change it. So close... but so far. So if you could do better than that part of preview, you would be my hero. |

Giving the average user the ability to create paths and polygons is great - I was excited - BUT they are somewhat useless if you cant get statistics on them (area, length, etc.) I was hoping to use paths to keep track of my runs and bike rides, but one still has to use the ruler tool to measure them, and I can't find a way to convert between a ruler path and a path path... |

wow this is great stuff! I really like it - and FAST too! The only complaints i have are lack of a zoom feature and and that the bars at the top and bottom do not slide off the screen when not in use, like they do in iPhoto - as it is now they obscure part of the photo you are viewing. |

yeah, this software is pretty bad --- and slow. I pitty the inexperienced mac users who install it and let it set itself as the default program for web and local pdf viewing without knowing there is a much better pdf viewer built into their OS... I only download it because some improperly created pdf forms only work on Adobe Reader. Also, I've found a sneaky way to get around not being able to save a form with data in it (not re-editable of course - but like the way it can be done in preview). |

I love this trackpad driver - been using since it came out. iScroll2 is fantastic and i get frustrated on mac laptops that dont have it - however I urge the developer to go back to whatever circular scrolling method was used in 0.25, because no matter what I do I cannot get circular scrolling in version 0.26 to be as sensitive and usable as in 0.25 (on an Alumn. Powerbook G4 15" 1.25GHz). It is just way to jumpy and fast in 0.26... |

Great! WOrks much better now. However, all HTML messages come out with no text - just a few little angle backet characters... I know this is a mail bug, not the developer's fault. I encountered the same thing when i tried to write a similar automator action a while back. But is there a workaround - like converting the message to plain text some other way before mail's conversion can get its hands on it? best, Vid |

my only gripe is that if your connection goes down (ie shaky wireless goes out), Shimo does not detect this, and one must first disconnect then reconnect. No biggy, could be better. |

This software keeps getting better! It is now better than what i was using before - the no-longer maintained TimeCard. However, when i choose either text or csv export, nothing happens! no file seems to be created (i was saving to the desktop). Also on the exported file - 'wages' might not be the best word to use if the exported sheet is being used as an invoice… But it works. |

ouch - despite how much I like megazoomer's concept i had to remove it. i notice it causes problems with some apps - Lots of applescript-based utilities will either give me Applescript NS (4) errors, or something like that, or just quit without a warning or a crash report when megazoomer is installed. removing it from the SIMBL plugins folder solved the issues. |

Awesome! I just isolated a bad RAM module on my powerbook using this in Single User Mode. Now i know why it was kernel-panicing 3 times a day for the last week! But how can a factory installed apple RAM chip just go bad like that... maybe it was dodgy from the start - the source of my powerbook's subtle directory damage malaise that crops up every few months? Lets hope so. |

as i said before, great program… but: version 2.1.2 breaks the history recall feature that was in vers 2.1.0 and before - and having the inspector as a separate window is not so hot... It should be a floating pallet if it must be a separate window… I'm going back to 2.1.0 - its easier to use. |

awesome! as a geologist and electronic musician who often finds that standard graphing software makes it difficult to represent simple but specific things, this is great! For simple displays to demonstrate concenpts in geology, or to do approximate frequency/musical activity or stereo-image graphs for studio techniques class… Great for graphing subjective things where the visual is more important than the numbers! I just would like some way of making a curve - bezier?, or some other method? rather than just line segments. But otherwise excellent. Interface is clean and easy easy to learn. |

however I just realized that "open in editor" does not always work on 10.3.9 (crashes photoshop on launch, does not open in preview), and "save as..." does nothing... Also iPhoto should be in the editor list - at least it is not on my mac (iPhoto 5.0.4). |

sweet! FINALLY a free program the supports zooming and panning in full screen mode! And the scrolling through a directory of images with the mouse wheel is an excellent idea. Love the plethora of customizable key commands. (I switched zoom in to use "=" instead of "+" like other apps - less use of shift key). Had one crash in 10.3.9 - when selecting color for window background for second time with the same color picker open. But other than that great!! |
