we did not mean to make an add for BannerZest ... we simply replaced the 'About Flash Player...' reference that exists on every banner by a reference to BannerZest because it seemed more appropriate.

But we will give the option to remove it in both versions in the next update (1.0.3).

We are definitely interested by feedback such as the one above. In 1.5, we decided to position the playhead right after the intro...this way, you never get a black screen, but always the first frame after the intro. So you understand that the application is actually doing something with your images, before you decide to hit the play button.

The changes in ergonomics are quite numerous, and performance gets a real boost too. We are looking forward to put PulpMotion 1.5 out as beta soon.

I am not sure I understand your issues here...I agree the black screen can be confusing and this has been fixed in the 1.5 release.

basically, PulpMotion is an authoring tool. Try this:

1; Use the media panel on the right to navigate to pictures and videos. Select some media and drop it into the drop zone (bottom)

2. Hit the play button...you will see your composition playing using the current theme

3. Pick up another theme (bar on top) and explore

4. Fine tune by adding titles, changing parameters, etc..

5. export to share

We had a number of people contacting us with regard to this...it seems that one reason for that crash is when a previous version of PulpMotion has been lying around. So please do the following:

- download the full app from our site (don't run the automatic update)

- go to the /Users/Shared and delete the AFPulpMotionFramework folder in there

- empty your trash

- start over again

thanks for the comment...there is a reason why we don't do it yet...it's because the themes framework is not finalized yet. As a result, the themes are being modified at the moment and need to be updated with the app. Our goal is to avoid that as well...but it is simpler to send nearly everything in the app for now, because you would have to download the themes updates anyway.

We are currently adding a lot of new features in the themes that will be unveiled later this year...the code for our themes should not change anymore...and we will be a ble to reduce the download size.

the sound is not played in the screensaver, because we thought that playing silently was a desired feature for a screensaver.

But we can easily add an option in the screensaver panel that would control whether the sound is played or not.

I will add that as a request and investigate further.

AQUAFADAS  Hi,

The dates problem will be addressed in a coming update to support more formats (it's quite strict currently) and take into account your system preferences. We'll add a small calendar too...

It is possible to choose the output format when exporting to Quicktime...but some compositions have been optimized for certain aspect ratios. We've been thinking about ways to export with any aspect ratio without getting any black borders... We will most probably do something about it.

Regarding the network access, I would be happy to get more info if you have. PulpMotion will make copies of your pictures is you choose a quality < original.
