APPLEBIT  This only modifies the /etc/authorizations file as to allow the region code to be set the first time a non-administrator tries to play a DVD. Nothing too fancy.

You can infact look at the code if you open the package. It's a pretty simple line. This can help to deploy to many machines, perhaps through Apple Remote Desktop (or my upcoming coreDaemon software) to multiple machines; saving support time.

LUCLUV  I guess what everyone really wants to know is whether this allows someone to change the region code more than the Apple allocated 5 times?

Or does this only allow someone other than the admin to change the code one time, thus using up one of the 5 times allocated to each Mac's DVD player?
