ANOTHERSCOTT  asmeurer, the FInder in Leopard still doesn't fully update properly, even local volumes.

Try this: Throw some stuff you don't need into the trash. Empty trash. Wait to see how long it will be before the free space indicator at the bottom of the window shows the new larger amount of free space.

iPurge Safari Caches

ANOTHERSCOTT  OUCH. I didn't read the notes. The program also deletes your entire History. I just lost a bunch of stuff as a result, as I had recent pages I intended to revisit. I think it is awful that the program does not, itself, tell you you're erasing your History. Caches never have irreplaceable data, so are always safe to delete. History sometimes does have something you want, and should not be cleared without being explicitly told. This was upsetting.

ALBABE  I'd love to use this client... then I read your post.

It would be GREAT if the client allowed you to pick and choose which caches you'd like to delete.

This seems to still work fine.

ANOTHERSCOTT  re: "Why would you have low rated songs on your Mac/iPod to begin with? "

It happens all the time! You download an album you haven't heard to your ipod, you're bound to end up with some songs you don't like. Rating them down is an easy way to note them. Then when you get a chance, you can go into itunes and delete the ones you rated as bad.

ANOTHERSCOTT  DockBlock also does this (though you wouldn't guess from its name), and its half the price. Plus it also does its main function of allowing you to disable the dock (it provides its own app switching menu).

ANOTHERSCOTT  Exactly what I was looking for! Unobtrusive, easy to use, flexible. Lets you name the screenshot when you save it, so you don't have a desktop full of files with unhelpful names like "Picture 11." Free and better than the shareware equivalents I looked at!
