Type: ReviewDate: 31 May 2008 14:28I have used this sparingly, but, already I feel it does not have the ease of use, or options that XLD (XLossless Decoder) has.
Given that this is not a free program, I can only say how dissappointing...
I'm sure it's development and support will progress, since it has the look of a good software package at the start of it's lifecycle; however, other than some features it has over XLD, I'm not interested in paying for, and adopting it's use just yet.
Thanks for supporting mac software!
PS Max(free) and Switch are other similar programs; and I'm of the opinion that right now XLD(free) is the best of all of them(it also uses the multi-core capability of a compatible machines!!!).

Type: ReviewDate: 9 Apr 2008 18:59XLD will still be my favourite; it does rips with no intermediary conversion.
Simply the best for mac.
Max has it's place however, so keep up the good work!

Type: CommentsDate: 8 Mar 2008 15:19I asked for the progress window to be active/visable in the background again, and now it is!
Thanks so much for this invaluable program and your constant care to see that it remains useable for those of us that rely on it!!!
Well done.

Type: CommentsDate: 29 Nov 2007 18:29Still love this program, however, can the progress window be made visible in the background again-or have that option in prefs?
Don't like having to go to the prog to see it, for a check on ripping...
Thanks

Type: CommentsDate: 10 Oct 2007 08:52I appreciate any effort people make to learn something new and then provide a free service or tool to others.
While I wish I could say this has been useful to me (it has on occasion); for my regular needs, Folderlister has done the job perfectly!

Type: CommentsDate: 6 Oct 2007 15:24OK, I feel like a dope; this program is my music re-title lifeline - and somehow I stopped it from working!
All the text I want to edit is now blue in the edit window and I can't make any changes. It's the same for my system drive as my externals, even though permissions to write and read are the same for all (I'm admin).
Any guesses? It was working fine for years(I love this app!!!) and just a few days ago this started...
please help...

Type: CommentsDate: 21 Aug 2007 16:19This and X Lossless Decoder are indispensable for the mac Audiophile!
Thanks to both authors for jobs well-done, at a price everyone can afford!

Type: Hint/TipDate: 29 Jun 2007 17:04Wow sounds like maybe you had bad luck-or a bad cue file?-you need to contact the developer directly and provide as much information as you can - including the files, so this can be reproduced.
I'm sure if it IS reproducible, the developer will want to fix the problem - just don't expect them to tell you how silly you were for making such a simple error.
You aren't giving them any chance though, are you?
You assume that your ignorance is the developers fault and score this perfectly wonderful programme low marks!?
Please try again, you will eventually grow up...

Type: CommentsDate: 29 Jun 2007 16:53Wow, are you daft! This program doesn't need/doen't do intermediary files!
Max is so not worth it-why would you bother, when XLD does so much more-and better!

Type: CommentsDate: 31 May 2007 11:04Oh dear,
For FREE, you can get XLD-(X Lossless Decoder) which will in and of itself convert(with no intermediary files) all sorts of sound formats.
It's the best option we have on the Mac right now.
Go get it.

Type: CommentsDate: 1 Feb 2007 16:44It's pronounced POLY-TSIE (like pie); maybe now the complainers will like it...

Type: ReviewDate: 21 Jan 2007 16:43You all seem thrilled... and though I do like the interface and simplicity, it did not recognize all my files.
Nor did it title correctly those it did which I copied.
ie. o track number at the beginning.

Type: Hint/TipDate: 17 Jan 2007 16:53I love this app; it has given me all the functionality I was needing for converting my music formats on OSX.
Now, however the thought occurs to me, can I output a cue file?
Well at the developer site it shows a command line way to do just that!
Trouble is I can't do command line(actually, won't is nearer the truth), so I have to ask the developer(nicely) is it possible for the next GUI version to allow for a music .cue and log file to be generated along with the FLAC (tracks or disk file)?
thank-you!

Type: CommentsDate: 17 Dec 2006 17:38M4A, it turns out, it may have trouble with. It did one for me just fine(to FLAC), another it balked at; in any case, you must be running 10.4 though.
Don't know why the 2 different results.

Type: Hint/TipDate: 8 Dec 2006 13:54Hey sounds like you're the problem, not this app. You don't even detail the "situation" you're describing.
Check the original rip, 'cause I don't know what you're talking about!!!
I get clean perfect recodes from all my apes and flacs, whether I'm going to aiff, wav or LAME MP3...

Type: CommentsDate: 6 Dec 2006 17:11I submitted this for a listing 'cause
I couldn't believe it wasn't here already.
You've gotta try this, it beats all the other stuff out there on the mac side; and probably some on th PC side as well.
It doesn't have to do intermediary conversions!!!
take that xACT, Max et al.

Type: ReviewDate: 26 May 2006 09:48Oh Boy! now we have to listen to windows crap on our side of the fence.
Autostitich has been repackaged a number of times; for mac it is here, as Calico:
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20652
and although some may prefer it's idiot proof ways, it certainly has limitations.
Many better options exist for mac users, Doubletake being one of them!

Type: CommentsDate: 26 May 2006 09:37Oh boy now we get to hear all the ignorant windows crap on our side of the fence...
autostitch has been developed within a number of new packages; for mac autostitch exists as Calico:
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20652
it's OK, but there are many other better uptions, such as doubletake!
