AMDUCIAS  You cant drag the entire folder into the custom dock section. Just shift click all of the files in the folder and drag all of them into custom window. I had the same problem but after figuring it out it works flawlessly.

AMDUCIAS  I use macupdate all the time, because I'm a bit of a freak about customizing my computer.

I wasn't even a member but I just had to sign up in order to praise dockdoctor. It is a wonderful application. Works flawlessly. If you want to customize your dock without any headache, download this app.
