AMCAN12 Why you need to press any key when clicking on folder dock to get menu? Did you try a single left click yet? (Version 1.0)
| [ Reply ] | |

HierarchicalDock | Nov 19 2007 |
it all may be machine and or Leopard's installation specific. I have the behavior of dock folders I described with no problems with aliases. But names of dock folders on my iMac G5 end with ".essdocker' - I emailed developer and within 10 minutes I got reply that some installations show this extension while others don't and that he is working on unified solution. Maybe you should email your comments directly to developer - this way we all are helping perfecting that little gem. (Version 1.0)

HierarchicalDock | Nov 19 2007 |
AMCAN12 It is strange Richard. On my system all my dock folders are either aliases of folders or include aliases to different folders, apps and other files. - Single left click of dock folder opens menu and shows all subfolders and items, which are all aliases anyway. - Simply hovering over the subfolder folder in menu opens submenu with no problem. - Single left click on subfolders opens it in Finder. All as it was in Tiger - the only difference is left click in Leopard vs. right click in Tiger to open menu. It may be system specific though. I run it for now only on my iMac G5 upgraded to Leopard using Archive and Install option. I will check later on MBP upgraded to Leopard and on MB with Erase and Install to see if there is a difference. (Version 1.0)

Got a message from the game - "you are using Little Snitch and your registration cannot be verified" or something similar. Changed manually Little Snitch setting to "always allow any connection" for Monopoly's DRMWrapper. No luck, always the same stupid message. When I found about this Monopoly I almost immediately bought it, but something told me "try the demo first" - good for me. What a heck? Using stupid DRMWrappers for demo? AMCAN12 No go for me. PageSender has a lot of features I would like to use but limited setup options are completely unacceptable. I use eFax Plus for ougoing faxes and I have Gmail address registered with eFax - PageSender allows me to select eFax as fax service for outgoing faxes, but doesn't have Gmail among email clients. If I select Mail as as my email client (which BTW has my Gmail address among many others) PageSender automatically uses the first (alphabetically) email address of mine from Mail to send fax to eFax service. Of course this address is not registered with eFax and I don't want it to be registered there. There is no way to tell PageSender to use the Gmail address and/or to use Gmail as email client. JETFIREDX Sweet! Working great now! A few thoughts after messing around for a while...(already put together my own locked image) 1. Can there be a different way of handling options for timers?A couple ideas: a. Checkbox to get lock time from sleep time preference. b. Checkbox to get lock time from screen saver time setting. c. Text entering field for fine control of timers. 2. Can it be made to allow the screensaver to promote over lock screen? The screensaver doesn't currently show up over it for me and when I unlock the screensaver is up, but hasn't actually run yet (like its just idle waiting) then starts. I would like to be able to have an alarmclock app or other apps trigger at specified times while the screen is locked something that doesn't work when my Mac comes out of sleep with Apple's built in lock mechanism. 3. Got the following memory allocation errors in console.log: Utility Lock(802,0xa000d000) malloc: *** error for object 0x36e050: double free Utility Lock(802,0xa000d000) malloc: *** set a breakpoint in szone_error to debug 4. An option to show desktop image / any image instead of solid color background would be cool. Awesome app otherwise. I still have some other things to try to see if I can use it for what I want. I am definitely gonna get a couple bucks for a donation ready! Please keep working on it! (Version 1.0.3b)

AMCAN12 Game crashes too often, especially when player is trying to adjust anything (like sound volume or game speed) when game is in play. And because game is taking over your screen completely (no windowed mode) the only way to get out of any crash is to hard restart your Mac. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. Other glitch is lack of option to set custom sound volume and speed of game as default - every time game is restarted player must manually adjust volume and speed - and this is when most crashes occur as game is already in play. IMHO game nehaves like in beta stage, not worth paying for until major fixes are done. (Version 1.6.5)

MahJong Tradition | Jul 22 2007 |
DWS This review is a good example of why developers wish that people would email them with perceived problems! Amcan12 is the only person reporting that the game crashes - under any circumstances. No windowed mode? MJT fully supports fullscreen and windowed modes; at whatever resolutions their monitor can handle. I've even programmed a keyboard shortcut to quickly switch between the two modes. Game speed and sound volume can be permanently set in Options. They can also be temporarily changed during a game. MahJong Tradition is far removed from any kind of beta stage of development. While people might disagree with my artistic choices or my (dubious) talents at creating custom music, such a devastatingly-negative review might discourage people from trying the game out; which would be a shame. AMCAN12 I have just purchased online downloadable version of pdf-Recover from Ovis website. Paid by credit card and entered activation info into the downloades earlier today demo, just as stated on invoice page. Activated and all went OK. Then I checked About - and it shows version 2.0 (2.0.1), not version 3.0 as it should be. So, I thought that maybe demo version is just 2 and I have downloaded package from link provided on my invoice. Reinstalled and problems - it started in Demo mode regardless successful activation just few minutes earlier. So, I went to Registration, filled blanks and hit Activate - after about a minute activation was denied showing error message telling me that I must buy another license as I exceeded number of allowed activations... And of course newly downloaded version from link on my invoice still shows version 2, not 3.... Not only that I was ripped off by getting version 2 instead of version 3 but I was denied activation after reinstalling software. Reinstallation and reactivation on the same machine should not be a problem as many of us for one or another reason reinstall OS and applications. Shame to Ovis / UNIVERSE Software GmbH - I want working version 3, be able to activate it on the same machine every time I need to reinstall it or I want my money back - I feel reallt cheated by German company today...
