I doubt your computer needs to be shut down if the app is not working. You should be able to force quit the app.

Can you tell me what is not working? please send an e-mail to AppManager@marcusfamily.info and I will try to resolve your issue.

ALLAN MARCUS  Acquisition is a great Gnutella client. Very Mac like interface and easy to use. Yes, the protocol is free, but the programming that went into Acquisition was not free. I supported LimeWire and eventually switched to Acquisition, as the GUI is way more Mac like. Support shareware and support Gnutella.
