Safari Enhancer consistently tells me that I have the wrong version of Safari. It also gives me enough info to determine that the prompt is incorrect and I do in fact have a compatible version. My guess is that this happens after messing with user agent strings with the optional Debug menu. There is no option to return to the default UA string, just an "Automatically Selected" option, which may mean that Safari is pretending to be something else. This feature isn't due to Safari Enhancer; the menu was written by Apple programmers. |

Safari Enhancer makes no attempt to change the "Google" string if another search engine is selected. The developer explains this in the documentation. There are no plans to interfere with the Safari GUI; the user is asked to simply remember that s/he customized the search field. |
