Capo

ACWOLF  With the new update and ability to export audio, Capo now rivals Amazing Slow Downer. It is about the same price and sounds as good. Capo is only lacking a remembered play-list and the ability to have more variable control over export format and parameters (Capo doesn't do mp3, it does m4a) compared with ASD. ASD also has MIDI controls possible, but capo has decent keyboard command options.

Capo's interface is visually ideal. The only thing that sounds better for slowing down is Melodyne which is hundreds of dollars and is not set up to do this stuff easily, it is designed for more detailed editing. Transcribe has more features than Capo, but is not as simple and appealing or as nice sounding. Anyway, there's now no reason to continue my previous recommendation of Amazing Slow Downer. Capo now supplants ASD in my book.

ACWOLF  This program is nothing special. Quicktime Player can slow down, change pitch, and loop. This offers no better visual interface, and the quality is no better. Other programs designed for this purpose generally have better quality sound than this one. Maybe in the future it will be more worthwhile, but for now I'd skip it.

ACWOLF  Doesn't hurt my mind!

Most other ToDo / GTD programs are either inadequate at really organizing much and being scalable, or they hurt my head. iGTD has prospects as far as future versions, but it really just doesn't work easily and mindlessly, it takes a lot of patience to simply focus on the interface. OmniFocus looks great, and would probably be my choice if not for Things. Midnight Inbox, Ready-Set-Do, and others like that are designed to train you and help you build habits, but once those habits are built, those programs don't get out of the way enough.

Things is the only program that really gets the concept right. It's like google vs yahoo. Yahoo works and is continually updated, but it still is overwhelming and complex. Google realized how to make the overwhelming internet be viewable through a simple interface that does not overwhelm you. Things does that for your life and tasks. It really promises to far surpass any other GTD type program out there.

ACWOLF  Just upgraded to version 2, since I purchased version one less than a month ago, they sent me a FREE upgrade. It imported my version 1 library almost flawlessly. So far, absolutely no problems with transition to version 2!

***..

ACWOLF  This thing appears to work fine, but the quality when I tried it was severely worse than the competition (Amazing Slowdowner). Simply put, this is a program that comes new to an existing field and fails to improve in any way that I could find over what already exists.

ACWOLF  1Passwd is extremely well supported. Very fast response to requests and questions, and incredible integrity, honesty, and sincerity from the developers. Works great and I'm optimistic about its longevity.
