AANHORN beware, this developer will still process your credit card order, but DON'T buy this app, it's dead, it hasn't been updated in years and the developer has apparently lost all interest in reviving it. (Version 3.0.5)

MARSVIOLET It hasn't been updated in a few years, but it seems to work perfectly under Leopard. (Version 3.0.5)

AANHORN This is a great little app, could use a better icon however. (Version 1.2.2)

AANHORN This is the best version of DOSbox for OS X, hands down. (Version 0.71)

NewsFire | Nov 11 2007 |
AANHORN I'll be honest : most of David Watanabe's software is useless to me. Acquisition became irrelevant a long time ago (gnutella) and is hobbled by a resource intensive java engine. Xtorrent may be relevant today (bittorrent) but is a victim of feature bloat right out of the gate. Transmission runs circles around it in terms of performance. Inquisitor might be useful if it actually worked with my browser of choice, Camino, but it doesn't. You can take the above as a bit of constructive criticism, David, but regarding NewsFire, nothing but aces. NewsFire has everything I need and nothing I don't, all packaged in a wonderfully minimal interface. Where every other RSS client attempts to walk the dividing line between newsreader and browser, NewsFire sticks to one thing and does it well. One missing feature I'd like to see in a future release is individual feed disabling. Still, paired with a capable browser, NewsFire simply offers the best RSS experience on the Mac. As long as David keeps NewsFire lean and focused for v2.0, he's guaranteed to get my upgrade fee. (Version 1.4v70)

AANHORN Thanks for being among the first to attempt this, there are a lot of us out there looking for a quality Leopard theme. A few tweaks that should be made - Menubar transparency isn't quite there yet, from what I can tell Leopard's menubar is a smidge more transparent. Menu corners are slightly rounded in Leopard, also menus are again, a smidge more transparent. Some kind of Leopard dock skin would also be appreciated. Anyway, keep up the good work! AANHORN It's free, it works, it's updated regularly, and like any OS X application worth its salt, it's pretty nice looking. Recommended. (Version 1.0.7b)

Correo | Feb 1 2007 |
AANHORN I've been a regular Camino user for years, and always wanted the same open source flavor for my mail client, but Thunderbird, like Firefox just doesn't have the native OS X niceties I need. Correo, at this point, is a great start, not quite ready to replace Mail.app for me yet, but I'll be keeping my eye on it. (Version 0.1)

Xtorrent | Nov 28 2006 |
AANHORN The only worthwhile bittorrent clients on OS X are Xtorrent and Transmission. Bits on Wheels is a giant resource hog. Azereus is a cross platform interface nightmare. For me, Transmission is still king of the hill, but Xtorrent has come a long way quickly and will only get better. (Version 1.0b2v22)

Xtorrent | Dec 20 2006 |
HOMEWORLD As one who is new to bit-torrent clients, I really appreciate the comparative insights in the previous post. (I was wondering if I was the only one who was so frustrated with Azureus' nightmarish UI that I can't run the thing anymore.) And TomatoTorrent... feels like it belongs in the OS 7.5 era. My first impression of XTorrent was that it's a bit too complicated and busy, but based on the comments here, I think the real problem is that I was too impatient to give it a fair chance. xACT | May 7 2006 |
AANHORN xACT has replaced both Shorten and FLACer in my audio toolkit, also, it's native on Intel Macs for a degree of future compatibility, unlike other tools. Other than some rare stability issues, xACT does what it says well and is a valuable tool for any Mac users wrestling with the myriad lossless audio formats on the internet. (Version 1.58)

Wallet | Apr 8 2006 |
AANHORN There are tons of password/serial management apps for OS X, so much so that it can get really confusing trying to find the right one. Well, let me tell you that this choice is actually very simple: Wallet. It looks great, it has great features and great security. While it's not perfect, overall it's simply the best out of the entire lot. Don't give any of the others a second thought, Wallet is what your looking for. (Version 2.0.2)
