ZEITKIND  Well, it's a nice game, but unplayable slow on older machines in higher levels - the algorithm seems not to be the fastest one. Some features missing (like to disseminate not ordered points over an area) so higher levels are really hard to play if you don't have a 24" display.

ZEITKIND  Well, I think most v4 users never missed the features regarding Visio, so they don't see the "value" or v5. I tested OG several times in the past, but the missing support for Visio was just a killer for me. Now I consider buying it and I'm glad to see the Visio support. I bought ConceptDraw many years ago, but their price politic was far worse and the program kept crashing for me, so the ability to switch to OG is fine for me.

ZEITKIND  The new version (3.0b5) has a bad bug - it's NOT universal. The main binary is intel only (OpenVPN 2.0.9 i386-apple-darwin8.10.1), so it won't run on PPC machines. I was able to "fix" it by using the macports binary. Hope they will fix that soon.

ZEITKIND  OK, after contacting the developer, he found the bug and already made a new version (2.01). Lingon starts fine now. If all developers were so responsive...

Nice tool for people who know what they do. Thx!

ZEITKIND  Works for me (eg. ssh -p 222).

One thing I dislike is inability to cd .. from eg /root to /

But might be a limit from MacFUSE? So I will stay with Fugu I guess.

ZEITKIND  Well.. after using Snak for over 5 years now, I finally switched to Colloquy. Snak was the best IRC client around, but there are some bugs for years now which got never fixed and UTF-8 support is also still missing. I don't need a client with 253621-dcc-features, I just need a client which is smart enogh to handle nick name right.

**½..

ZEITKIND  Unusable slow on a G4/1GHz with 1GB RAM when drawing network equipment and network plans. Though this version didn't crash often like all previous version did, I still can't recommend it. Waiting over 20 sec. for a redraw while moving shapes is just inaceptable (90% CPU). Mouse often "caches" moving so your shape won't be where you droped it. Missing some basic shapes and better ancor-points; inconsistent shape-handling (newer and older ones). Make it 500% faster and I will buy an upgrade.

Media Rage

***..

ZEITKIND  Well.. as a longtime user of MP3 Rage, I'm a bit dissapointed about this "new" version. It doesn't do much better than MP3 Rage concerning UTf-8 and Unicode tags. There is still no way to simply convert "wrong" PC-ID-tags to eg. GB5 or TC - even freeware program can do this (id3tag). It crashed sometimes, but I'm not that sure why, so I give it 3 stars. The handling is still a bit strange, I again miss a good documentation about the programs (eg. the regular expressions) and Media Rage misses features MP3 Rage had - though developers state to add more in the future versions. I don't need a player (why not using scripted iTunes??), I need a good editor for the id tags.

Cataloging 150GB was inacceptible slow and crashed many times so I gave up.
