Microsoft Office 2008		May 14 2008

YURA ZAKALYUZHNY  I've got into the same trouble yesterday and it drove me crazy for the whole evening. Here is how I finally managed to update my installation of v.12.0.1. I wiped out everything, moving to trash MS Office 2008 folder itself (the one in Applications folder), ALL receipts related to Office 2008 from /Library/Receipts, and preferences from my ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008. After that I installed the version 12.0 and was able to apply update to it.

YURA ZAKALYUZHNY  Who may need this application when Leopard provides possibility to put display into sleep via hot corner option of Desktop & Screen Saver system preference pane?

INDIEKIDUK  Its more efficient to use hot corners for things you do frequently, e.g. dashboard, all windows, app windows show desktop. Since you have only four corners it wouldn't be sensible to give up one of them for sleep display which most people will only do maybe 1-2 times a day.

With SleepDisplay in application form you can hook it up to anything you like, e.g. quick silver, launch buddy, remote buddy...whatever you like.

YURA ZAKALYUZHNY  I am confused with different results I've got. It started to index my home iMac Core2Duo hard disk yesterday and haven't finished it yet, for more than a day now. At the same time, my office machine (Core Duo mini) was indexed yesterday in a less than an hour while it hosts far less files.

JESS2006  I had the same problem. Do you have mailtags installed? Turns out MailTags doesn't reinstall the Spotlight importer even if you have the latest beta.

Delete the Mailtags importer from /Library/Spotlight or ~/Library/Spotlight.

Then reinstall Mailtags, you should be fine.
