This is an excellent addition to mail! I have thousands of emails and this really helps with finding emails related to the current topic. Cuts down on my use of Find.

This is a nice add-on to any sysadmins arsenal. What I have found though is it's not useful for remote file ownership management because when you CMD-I to set ownership, Finder and Pathfinder pulls the local systems owner and group information.

Other than that, it's great to be able to manage files via finder on a remote SFTP system. Just keep the SSH terminal ready to set proper ownership and group permissions (or keep Yummy FTP or another FTP client around to help with the chore).

Great product.... Much more stable than Macfuse.

Thanks. I had to purchase Yummy FTP instead of your product because I could tell it to use a private key and provide the password for that key. I have yet to see that option unless I'm missing it?

I have been following this product for a while now and what baffles me is why it still doesn't support private/public SSH keys? For sysadmins (like myself), password protected private SSH keys are the only way to perform server tasks somewhat safely. Forklift guys, get this in and you will probably see a spike in sales.

Thats easy to remedy. When you go into the app support folder on mac, rename the flockbeta dir to something else then rename the old flock dir to flock beta and flock will migrate everything.

I tried that and I got the error: 'no more authentication methods available, 14'

Does Epandrive support private SSH keys with passwords? This is how I have the server setup since it's a hosting server.

Seems to be headed in the right direction but... The SFTP servers I connect to require them. From what I have seen (testing), Exapdrive doesn't support SSH keys yet. Hopefully soon.. For now, uninstall.

Since I posted this last, the developer worked with the company Emetrix to clear up the extra charge on my credit card. They issued the reg code a couple of days later. Just like anything else involving software, errors happen.

Great product which was worth the investment.

The best alternative (and free) is PureFTP.. It's what I use for ftp servers when I need them. Since I purchased a Dlink DNS 323, it has a built in FTP server so now I have the best of both worlds! NAS with FTP

THANK YOU!!!! The only other product that would fit the bill was RUMPUS. Talk about over priced.. OUCH.

This is a great product so if you DL, make a donation to the author please.

Any chance on getting a Per-Site option on this? This would match an important Pithhelmet feature since I really need to turn blocking off all together for testing on client sites.

This my personal opinion on the software. I'm not mad, just hitting myself on the forehead because I leapt before looking. My internet connection has been up and down today and this is adding a considerable amount of time for my restores due to the issue outlined below:

I should have read the reviews before plunking down $200 on this product. What I didn't realize was that the software needs to have a FULL TIME internet connection which validates the software every time you initiate a restore.

What does this mean? If you have 20,000 files you need to restore and you choose to selectively restore (say you click a file, then restore, it finishes and you select another and start restore), each time it's going to phone home before the restore starts and transmit the amount of data your restoring and check validation.

I would recommend anyone who has a restore situation where you don't have access to the internet bypass this software.

The author could have just made it so that when you register the software, it creates a system key which is transmitted to their servers and then validates the software by installing their key locally.

That would have prevented a lot of piracy (which is the authors primary concern) and is similar to what iTunes does.

It's good at what it does but the author thinks that for $200 he's entitled to your restore information.

What it boils down to is the software can only be used on one machine at a time (very fair) but your REQUIRED to have an internet connection active to re-validate the software each and every time you start a data restore and to transmit your restore data back to them. Very invasive for a "rescue" situation.

Seems to crash with Leopard. Anyone else experiencing this?

P.S. The instructions you post for ALLTEL are incorrect and do not work.

Tried that. No response.. NADA.. So I just cancelled my account. To bad because I would pay for this service if I thought it worked.

What kills me is I worked for ALLTEL for a decade and my wife still works for them (in then engineering division) and the engineers we talked with have no explanation as to why this doesn't work. They are not doing anything to block this service either. Not good when you can't get it to work with the 4th largest carrier in the U.S.

OK, I have sent 3 bug reports in over the last month had the developers have taken all 3 and fixed them! What great service. I can't say enough about a company that will actually take a bug report, verify it, get back in touch to let you know it's fixed and the latest version is available for download. WOW.

Navicat is a critical part of my web design and hosting business. I played with a lot of tools before I settled on Navicat and have tried others since. Nothing seems to cover the bases as well.

Highly recommended.

Navicat is a good DB tool, especially for the Mac. Be warned about 7.0.2, it crashes constantly. If your running 6.3.7, keep using that version.

I'm almost paralyzed because of the 7.0 crashes and when I installed 6.x over the 7.x, it wouldn't work at all.

Watson is another option but it's legacy software and it's not a universal binary.

Nice looking product. No ability to search ebay motors that I can see. That is a must IMHO.
