Not only will you speak to a real live professional tech support person when you phone in, but, they can walk you through the uninstall process, if for some reason the automated uninstaller on your disk image missed something.

VICTORB  Yes. You can. It kind of picks up where TimeCapsule stops. Backup to multiple drives, different formats, across a network, etc. You can build scripts easily to fit your environment, schedule and needs. You can even incorporate encryption.

VICTORB  I used Retrospect and Remote for years.

The fact is, it has grown stale. Try Personal Backup from Intego. It goes well beyond in functionality and reliability.

VICTORB  Hi Tom,

First off - I notice from your earlier posts that you've been using VirusBarrier since at least 2006.

VirusBarrier X5 is unnoticeable in terms of it's effects on newer Mac systems.

It's possible that your system might be better off with a previous version of VirusBarrier - more suited to your specific system configuration. (By the way - we still support older versions of the operating system going back to OS 9 )

If this is truly not your experience with X5, please contact our technical support group at support@intego.com or call us toll free at 512.637.0700 to resolve your problem. I think you'll find our support group not only very knowledgeable but, also quick, professional and friendly.

VICTORB  Yes. This product beat all my expectations. The software firewall interface is the best I've seen on any platform.

I have installed it on all the Macs on my network and have been very happy with the install and uninstall portions.

The feature which lets you see which channel all wireless routers in range are set to is also WAY COOL.

VICTORB  This is one of the easiest pieces of software I have ever installed.

And, it seems to be working great. Doesn't slow Mail or other processes down.

After a few days, it's catching almost every piece of SPAM.
