TOOMACX  DEV, Any chance you will add support for Snow Leopard? I just tried this on 10.6 with the built in iSight. The cam turns on, I place a barcode up to the cam & nothing happens.

TOOMACX  Thanks for the replies! The downloads I used were the PPC versions. I have of course downloaded the latest "TIGER-bitpim-1.0.6.ppc.dmg" but it won't work either. (but It does Launch) I'm Using "/dev/cu.BT-LGVX8560" for the port w/ the new LG Chocolate. Also tried using the USB. I can't read the filesystem, & when I try to get wallpapers or anything from the phone I get a bunch of errors.(see below) Please know that I LOVE this app & I'm not complaining...(The price is right & Thank-You) I miss being able to use it & I'm sure others who may be having the same problems do to. Apple's "Bluetooth File Exchange" works great for transferring music, pictures & sounds BUT can't backup the phone's entire filesystem or do all BitPim can. Also, phone detection @ startup fails? Says No phone detected/recognized.

run Settings?

Thank-You Everyone!

CSHIRKY  There are two distinctions made between versions of BitPim 1.06 for the Mac -- PPC vs. Intel, and Tiger vs. Leopard.

I run an Intel/Tiger combination on my Mac (MacBook and 10.4.11), and I got the same error, which I think happens b/c the Intel build is actually not for all Intel machines, but for Intel/Leopard only. It seems to be fixed when I use the PPC/Tiger version instead. (I say 'seems to' because I don't get the sqlite error and it runs, presumably in emulation mode, but I haven't yet fully tested it for later bugs.)

Tiger version is here:

MACUPDATE ADMIN  From the MacUpdate product page for BitPim:

EDITOR NOTES

The 'Download Now' link yields the Intel version, see 'Related Links' below on this page for the PPC version.

CSHIRKY  I'm not convinced there _is_ an Intel version, which is to say that what is called the Intel version may in fact just be for Intel Macs running Leopard.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=75211&package_id=75636&release_id=620234

states:

LEOPARD-bitpim-1.0.6.i386.dmg

so the Intel version is for 10.5

and the requirements on the MacUpdate page for BitPim:

Mac OS X 10.5 or later
(Version 1.0.6)
