TLALOC  Chac, http://www.xzone.com.au/tzolkin/getcalendar.php and the dashboard widget all agree so I don't know what you're talking about. the online calculator is an astrology page and it only can calculate today's Tzolk'in so it's fairly worthless. The widget can only calculate today's Long Count and calendar round so it's quite limited in what it can do as well.

TLALOC  The farthest right menu in a Mac OS X application is the Help menu. The second item is entitled "Chac Help". This item will load an HTML document that has a lot of valuable information about Chac and the Maya calendar. When all else fails, read the instructions.

TLALOC  No, the Maya calendar doesn't end in 2012. This is explained in the help book for this application. You can read it by going to the help menu and selecting the second item: Chac Help.

There are actually two of those shows about the "Mayan Doomsday Prophesy" on the History Channel. They probably have set a dubious record by condensing more disinformation into one show than any other TV show in the history of television.

These shows are entertainment, amusing fiction but not science.

TLALOC  The farthest right menu in a Mac OS X application is a Help menu. The second item is entitled "Chac Help". All of this is explained in this help document. More discussion of the writings of Jose Arguelles, Ian Lungold, Carl Callemans, Terrence McKena, etc. can be found in the talk page of the Wikipedia article about the Mesoamerican Long count Calendar here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mesoamerican_Long_Count_calendar

Reading this will explain why their theories are never allowed in the wiki pages about the Maya calendar. The bottom line is that they are new age spiritualists who have made up bizarre incorrect theories about the calendar and their writings are dis information.

Chac agrees with the Dashboard widgit but has lot more information.

TLALOC  Why no Power PC? All you have to do to compile it for the PPC Macs as well would be to check a box in XCode. Boo, thumbs down.
