TIM SWAN  MacCentric, SuperDuper does allow you to backup to an image -- it'll even create the image for you. That said, CCC's price can't be beat.

TIM SWAN  ZX: Why are you giving a one star rating and then making a comment that is unrelated to the app in question? In fact, I can't even understnad what the hell you're trying to say. Yojimbo does what it advertises to do very well. Expecting it to do something that it doesn't claim to do is both unfair and stupid.

TIM SWAN  Well, the interface sure is...different. Oh yeah, and there's SMOKE. Wow.

Unfortunately, the software has several functional shortcomings that are hard to explain in software that is being sold, beta or not. For example, read the fine print about the ability to split files across multiple disks -- this is only true if the files/folders are smaller that what can fit on one of the disks. And if you need any documentation to help you through any of the problems introduced by an application with such a...unique... interface, yu're out of luck for now.

Show promise, but a *long* way to go to replace Toast.
