I have to be honest about this. Years ago, RealPlayer was probably the WORST media player for the Mac, with it's 'buffering' and "UPGRADE TO GOLD" adverts everywhere. These newer versions actually aren't that bad. The few RealPlayer files I do stumble across open up in RP without any nagging messages or too much stuttering. The interface is clean, although it isn't the native OS X UI. Overall, it's a big improvement from the early RP days. |

I've used Transmission since 0.6, and have been a happy user until recently. It's been light and fast, and easy to use. I've noticed recent versions of Transmission eats up huge amounts of memory, and doesn't seem to release it even after quitting. This results in tons of memory page-outs, which makes my Mac really slow. |

Tiger has been supported for a while, but it seems like the MacUpdate listing hasn't been updated for a while. Works fine on my G4 running 10.4.11. transfers data, updates the firmware, etc. |

"Now includes Soundflower 1.3 update for capturing System Audio, now featuring volume controls" Soundflower 1.3 isn't even available from the official Cycling '74 website yet...? |

The encoder usually skips when your CPU load is too high, or when the CPU is not fast enough to encode in real-time. Is your Mac fast enough to keep up with the encoding? |

Perhaps you should look into iScrobbler, which is an alternate Last.FM client. It doesn't have Radio though. |

Pros: Run lots of interactive web content with this plugin Cons: Slow on ALL Macs compared to PC speeds. Adobe already knows about this. |

It's unlikely that the developer will be able to fix it until 10.5 is actually released, and unless you are authorized to be running 10.5, you shouldn't be. Probably going to mess up your system anyway. |

Seems to improve graphics handling alot. Just noticed the Release Notes said the same thing. Still slower than MS Office, but getting better. |

A bit sluggish at times on my G4 running 10.4.9, but it works. Email and composer have been removed, but Netscape blog says they might be coming back sometime soon. Overall a decent Firefox-like browser (because it shares code from Firefox) that integrates well with it's social website. |

Yep. It's back. I've been reading the Netscape blog every here and there. There's only been like 5 people working on it ever since AOL fired everyone at Netscape. Good to hear that they haven't forgotten the Mac community. |

You don't need it anymore. In OS X, just select "TCP/IP" and Starcraft does everything else. |

The game wasn't made for Intel Macs, such as your Mac Pro. That's why it's slow. Maybe they will release an update for Intel Macs. |

Slightly confusing for newbies to use. You have to start dragging the file and while dragging, press F12. This brings up Dashboard while you are still dragging. Then just drag the file over the widget. Overall, it works fine. A bunch of UI problems sometimes happen, like huge tooltips, and the widget doesn't always change it's size when changing the settings. |

Forgot to add something: Even at "More Responsive", the app still uses only about 3% of the CPU. It even supports dragging files and windows! |

Although I don't have multiple monitors, this little app does come in handy sometimes. For people that do have more than 1 monitor, arranged -vertically-, is it possible to set this up so that the cursor moves from, say, the top monitor to the bottom, and vise-versa? The user would probably have to configure something to tell what monitor is on top of the other, though. |

A little slow (my fault, old Mac...), but not bad at all. A bit confusing, but then again I don't really know how to be a DJ... This app looks very promising. |

People! Please learn exactly what this program does before you bash it! The program will not seed to other users who are only downloading (unless they just started to download) and are not uploading or have a very low upload rate, being greedy (leeching). This is how BitTorrent is supposed to work, but some people always have to set the upload to 0 and download to max, so this is what BitTyrant is trying to fix. It's perfectly fair. Everyone shares with everyone. |

This would have been really really useful to me about 3 months ago when I was exporting a movie file. But it doesn't matter as I'm using 10.3, and it's for 10.4. Great to see the Pooch developers did make this plugin though. Might need to use it again. |

This is a RealBasic app. When you show Package Contents, there is a 'rbframework' item, as well as other RB files. I'm NOT saying that RB apps are bad (unlike what some other people say). This one seems to actually be pretty good. But, in the web interface, there seems to be alot of problems. I keep getting a bunch of CSS and javascript text inside the frames instead of whatever is supposed to be in there. I don't think I'm the problem, as i've tested this with Camino, Firefox, Safari, and even iCab! Accessing it from my windows box also causes the same problem, and installing it on my other mac also has the same problem. |

Hi, if you were the one who e-mailed me, is it still the same error? It doesn't appear to happen anymore, even from a fresh start. If WAN Check setup closes after you click the 'Save Settings' button, that is a good sign. That means the background program started. |

There is only one or two 'spyware' apps out there. CarbonKeys keylogger and the legit SilverNetworks Spy app. They aren't even really spyware, as you have to manually install them. This could be useful in the future, but I doubt there will be any type of malware threat to Mac OS X any time soon. |

This is one of the most useful little apps out there! I found this when using AudioScrobbler, as they say to 'Check your tags!!'. It's not always right, but it's better than typing in dozens of song names and artists! |

It's like a hybrid of Safari and Firefox. Made with Cocoa, Renders with Gecko. Very stable, faster than Firefox, and it's simple to use, too. With CamiTools, it's even better. |

Due to various webserver problems, some WAN Check downloads ended up getting 'cached' files that included older, buggier versions that did not have the 'damaged package' bug fix. WAN Check will be hosted on MacUpdate until further notice. |
