THEMADCOW  I'm not impressed. It's hard to use and not intuitive in the least. I had high expectations from the website, the app looks just like 'it works'. But it doesn't.

The simplest of tasks, remove ".zip" from a series of files. Either the functionality is hidden or it's defective. Either way, back to the drawing board on this app. I'll take another look with the next version.

PHILIPP M.  Did you try this:

1. Drag in your zip files

2. Add a "Find & Replace" renamer

3. From the gear action menu select "Suffix only"

3. In Find enter "zip" and in Replace your new file extension

4. Click Apply

RUBAIYAT  Be nice if you had at least an elementary manual or Help. I was trying to find out if there is a way of generating a series of numbered folders from 1 starting folder and just ended up chased my own tail.

THEMADCOW  This is an unsolicited review/comment on the general use of Wifind. It's annoying when people can't or won't take the time to contact the developer for resolutions but rather go off half-cocked and post a slag against the developer.

1. The submenu change in Leopard is due to Apple and out of the hands of the developer. Bitch at Apple if you don't like it. Apple has made menu items a moving target for developers.

2. About their reliability. I have nothing but good experiences. Bought the product over a year ago. Worked fine. Recently came across the app again and decided to install for Leopard. Needed to get my reg code again, emailed and it showed up within an hour.

It's also my understanding that RealLifeŽ took the developer off the map briefly - it happens. Doesn't mean that they're a rip-off operation.

Overall, it's a handy application to have for mobile road-warriors. It's simple and elegant and does the task it was written for very well. I didn't want to have to run another app all the time to see the infos I get with Wifind. I've got iStumbler, Kismac..etc. They all have their uses, but Wifind is just there when you need a quick glance.

The Cow gives it a thumbs up!

SpamCop

THEMADCOW  Simply put. This product is dead. Kaput. Pushed up daisies. Developer, in a fit of petulance, after the release of Tiger and the fact that SpamCop pulled their reporting privs - killed the product because people stopped paying for it. *Gasp*

I'm guessing too many newbs fumbled their reporting via Spamcop and they just didn't want to deal with the constant headache (and the associated bitching). Too bad, I'm sure there will be other products that do this.
