THEGOODGUY ugh, this program is so bloated and slow and im on an iMac G5 running at 2 ghz! Honestly, i'd be happy with less stupid greeting card and .mac fixes that nobody uses and more stability/speed improvements because how it is right now is unacceptable for the money spent. also, albums/events are great.. but i like viewing all my pictures at once like it used to be.. anyone know how to do that? or did apple screw that up too? THEGOODGUY I agree that it is a short coming, mainly the audio aspect of it. I say this because every mac since probably '03 have been manufactured with a mic. Video is an issue that only recently has been a major problem, and stuff like this takes time to develop. But honestly, if you're not using ichat/skype commercially for video chat, how seriously often are you going to use it. A majority of people won't use it extremely often, so its not as high of a priority to develop i'm sure. (Version 1.1.2)

THEGOODGUY this app is the best IM program around on the mac. Nothing comes close to it. i think it even serves as the definition of a great open source program. Every self respecting mac user should use this program whether you're using aim, msn, yahoo, jabber, etc. (Version 1.1.2)

MACUPDATE ADMIN Sure, it is very good. But for those of us with iSight cams or webcams, Adium doesn't do video, and that is a major shortcoming. And yes, I've read the dev's explanation of why Adium does not support video. iChat and Skype both handle video quite well in my experience. (Version 1.1.2)

MACUPDATE ADMIN I use it constantly (audio and video in iChat and Skype) and thus so do others I know who have that capability. And there's more of us than ever. Apple sells more laptops that any other of their computers, their last years' sales in laptops were record-breaking. And they all have cams, so do the iMacs. To face the issue squarely and honestly, putting all fondness of Adium aside, Adium is two or three years behind. (Version 1.1.2)

THEGOODGUY Such a fantastic program. I rarely encounter bugs while using Adium and when I do, I happily report them to the developers because i know it'll make this great program just better. With built-in support for full on customization including: tabbed windows, custom IM windows/Buddy lists/Texts/User Status Buttons and much more, it can't get much better. Whether you're old fasioned just liking that AOL IM sound, or you like to here the sounds of an East Asia Trainstation; Adium can change to match your style. As much as I love this program, I am also writing so I may suggest a feature i've frequently found myself wishing it had. Support for video chat/conferencing. Hope this comes soon, and it may be easier to implement with Leopard's new core technologies. Thank you Adium developers, you've done a great job. The Good Guy™ (Version 0.89.1)

ALANR No kidding. It's been around for 10 years, pre OSX, since before anything like it existed. I've been using it for nearly that long and it's still useful since it presents the results in an easy to use fashion. (Version 1.8.15)
