TESLANAUT  Hmm... This intrigued me quite a bit, until I visited the site and saw the difference between Pro and Lite. Though it looks like all I need is what Lite offers, its kind of disappointing to see that this entire thing is mainly a $30 (USD) GUI front end for Open Source tools.

JIMSTER  As JEREMYMEILE says, yes this is possible and in fact, this is the default installation. Just don't forget to use the ArceMux Options to set the location of your WoW app and it's Realmlist file then hit "Set" on the General options.

TESLANAUT  Build a social network around this App/Game so people can share tunes together or play against eachother over the network. Also, an iPhone app/game would be awesome. Landscape play of course. Showing number counters at the top at when the note comes and then as it gets closer, you will see the bar coming. Charge 99 cents for the iPhone app/game and allow people to buy song packs.

TESLANAUT  My god. This thing is.... Simplistically beautiful... What would make this unbelievably perfect is if this had the ability to upload to Image Sharing sites like Twitpic or Flickr or Skitch, etc. That'd just be another cake on top of another cake on this fine Wedding Cake of an App. Maybe a few editing tools could be added too.... (Arrows, Text, Shapes, etc) Like Skitch. :)

The right hand side of the system menu bar is reserved for Apple's own menus extras, and the only way 3rd party products can place their own menus in that space is by using SPI (Apple internal API). Apple does not want 3rd party products in there.

We decided to use only published API in atMonitor, so we can not place it at the right hand side of the system menu bar.

MenuMeters and iStat are doing this by using undocumented APIs. And because they are using those SPIs they no longer work on SnowLeopard since Apple either removed or changed those SPIs.

atMonitor does not use those SPIs, so it can not show the menus to the right like MenuMeters and iStat, but it does work with SnowLeopard and is guaranteed to work with any other future OS X releases.

This is Beta software right now. They're testing stuff that might not even go into the Final release. You see all the comments that are going "Eww Ads". Its quite ridiculous that they're all angry at something that might not even go into the final product or they might even make shareware. I just found it disgusting that they'd turn their back on something just because of a tiny change.

hat about going from Panther to Snow Leopard? No help there? What about XP to Windows 7? Upgrading for them means either buy a whole new computer that comes with it or buying a copy of Windows 7. Also, Snow Leopard isn't really a new Operating System now is it? Like what that French guy said in the Keynote. They are taking what Leopard already is/has and making it better. Also, to be able to participate in the "Upgrade from Vista to 7" you have to have, quote:

Purchase a qualifying version* of a Windows Vista retail packaged product from your favorite retailer between June 26, 2009 and January 31, 2010. (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy/offers/upgrade.aspx)

So right. If you bought it before that, you are SOL. Which applies here, you bought an older version longer ago, you're not getting a discount now.

Because I see lots of developers and even big companies (Microsoft & Apple) charging for whole new versions (ie. 1.0 to 2.0 etc). When people bought NetNewsWire back then, they bought THAT version. Now its a whole new version and coming soon, 4.0.

Just because you bought an older version of an App or piece of Software, doesn't entitle you to have an adfree or whatever new version to come.

Anyway, if you don't like the Ads in the software, you're more than welcome to move onto alternatives.

PSYCHOS  There is something you are missing. Please post this as something like "Pod to Mac 3.0." Not "Pod to Mac The New 3.0." People know that it's a new version when it shows up.

It's kinda like if Apple released "Mac OS X Leopard The New 10.6." Or if Microsoft released "Windows Vista The New 2009." It's just not a version numbering scheme people use, and it's confusing to many people.

"Pod to Mac 3.0" would be perfectly fine, and not annoy anyone as has apparently happened.

VEGGIEDUDE  All apps on MacUpdate contain the version number in their names, its probably required by MacUpdate. As the developer says, once unzipped, the name does not contain the version number in its name.

CHRIS DEVOR  The reason that I'm referring to Pod to Mac 3.0 as "the new 3.0," is because the version numbers got out of control a little bit (in part a result of some confusion while implementing automatic updates), and we started counting again starting at 3.

So technically the versions go: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, (the new) 3.0. Going forward the version numbers will increment much slower.

To answer your question, Twistori Desktop is different from a Fluid.app because it doesn't just embed twistori.com. With Twistori Desktop, you can enter custom keywords -- any ones you want -- and use your own filters (e.g. dirty words), and so on. Plus there is even more nifty functionality coming :)

It would be really nice if I could toggle it with a mouse click or a combination of Keys such as Command + Backspace. Which is strangely what my Mouse does for it's 4th button.

TESLANAUT  Wow, this is quite a nice looking app. Though it'd be nice if this was a Clipboard manager too, like Jumpcut. I love the UI of Pluto and the ease of use. Perhaps get with the developer of Jumpcut and integrating that into this? It'd be quite nice. Not sure what the problem of the guy below me is, but I quite like this app. I'd use it more if it had a Clipboard manager functionality.

Actually you can add this feature on your own - right now.

Open Automator and find the action called "Quit Application". Add this action to your workflow and select the application to quit.

Save your workflow with "File Format: Application".

Open DownloadMonitor and select your saved application from the action pop-up menu by choosing "Run an application ...".

ERIC B.  There's no problem with the pricing, trust is the issue. Making a freeware program payware by an automatic update without any prior notification is just very bad style.

As for the, "Moving to Shareware", I could see why. I mean, look at it, ain't it a beauty? It sort of competes with CoverSutra which is, I think, 10 Dollars?

Give the man some credit. He's put a lot of work into a great App.

Great Job. Keep it up!

Some things though:

-I would like to see more Cover Skins

-Integration into more Social websites like Facebook/Twitter.

-Plugins would be nice

Other then that, I LOVE it.

This app has NEVER EVER Crashed on me on ANY Mac operating system. Tiger & Leopard. Ran 100% Fine. No Memory Leaks, no nothing.

Just an amazing app.

TESLANAUT  How is Limwire still alive?

People are downloading the Pro Version with Limewire themselves which defeats the whole "Pro version"

Also, every time you use it, the first results are always 127 kb files with the name of what you search and those files are VIRUSES.

Stay away from these kinds of apps. They're a danger.

If you can, could you make a Lite or Free version of your application?

With the watermark of your logo on the bottom right like a TV show.

I would greatly appreciate it.

TESLANAUT  This is an AMAZING App. Though it seems like you just continued the work where Steel Skies left off.

This would COMPLETELY replace iTunes for me if the following happened:

-Did everything iTunes did (Downloading and Viewing Podcasts, TV Shows, Movies, and Videos, Syncing iPods etc..)

-MAKE IT FREE!!! Its a really Small App and basically has iTunes features and like I said, is a continuation of Steel Skies' Coverflow App. But nevertheless its really REALLY good.

I basically love the entire look of your app. I really love that you took the Quicklook style. If I had my way, I'd make it so you can add the quicklook style and replace the Grey Metal of Mac OS X Leopard.

TESLANAUT  Make sure you quit every instance involved with iTunes, such as iTunesHelper. Go to Activity Monitor and search for those instances.

To Enable disk use, plug in your iPod and check the "Enable Disk Use" option.

You can NOT have iTunes and Senuti running at the same time.

TESLANAUT  I really like this app, but I would like to request some things:

-A Cancel Button. Sometimes, it hangs when I enter a URL, I think it isn't working, so I enter it again, and then 2 downloads pop up. I'd like a cancel button to cancel one of the downloads.

-Configure converting Preferences. The quality and size of the video aren't so good. I'd like to be able to change the preferences for the conversion.

-More formats. If possible, add different formats. For PSP and other devices.

So easy to use and never crashed on me Once.

I'm using this on the new Aluminum iMac with Mac OS X 10.5.1.

It has never failed one me ever.

RSSC  The list of regions and cities in LoversClock is compiled from a Mac OS X internal list. While all timezones are contained in this list, not all major cities are.

I might add a more complete list of cities in the future, but for the time being LoversClock relies on the list Mac OS X provides.
