SNOOPY31415  I mainly use apple remote when I watch a movie with VLC or when I give a presentation using OpenOffice.

Snow Leopard 10.6.1 launched itunes whenever I was using VLC, 10.6.2 OpenOffice just don't detect the remote anymore...

I was worry about security at beginning then I realized Candelair comes from the guys who make Remote Buddy so I decided to give it a try.

Candelair just worked flawlessly when I needed VLC or OpenOffice, the menu is simple but there is only one button I care about : Activate Leopard compatibility mode!

Then the Apple remote just works!

I think it makes quicklook load a bit longer (not much, like 1-2 sec) before displaying stuff but I could be wrong on that.

It doesnt display ps files but you can simply rename them into eps and it will display them.

For example rename "fig.ps" into "fig.eps".

It stange because the only difference is that eps has a bounding box while ps don't. The rest is the same.
