CrossOver Games
Sep 29 2009

SLRMAN  While Crossover itself would not run Sturmovik IL2 1946, I found that Crossover Games, while not listing it as supported, runs it just fine except for one glitch. When replaying saved mission files, it displays the mouse cursor in the center of the screen. This means that using recorded segments to make videos is not good. I have had this problem examined by the creators of my screen recorder (iShowU HD) and by the Crossover tech support. They agree it's a problem with how Crossover Games handles certain functions but can give no solution.

SLRMAN  "Like any true Mac user, I had failed to back up my files" This is NOT like a true Mac user. I think anyone that isn't smart enough to back up their files isn't smart enough to write any program I want on my system. So anyone that thinks about it will give this program a wide berth.

CrossOver Games

SLRMAN  Despite the Crossover page that said that Sturmovik IL2 was reported to work, it did not even start. As this is about the only Windows program I have any interest in running, it looks like I'll give Crossover a miss. As I have observed in the past, Crossover is not ready for Prime Time.
