SILVERSLEEVES  I know with burning to CDs:

DragonBurn still, as I have it "ironed in" to my prefs, runs its volume balancer on files "treated" with this software. In any other respect, DB4.x is Ok with the integrity of the files as MP3. Toast 6, however, tends to want to decompress the MP3s if I process them under Album Gain with no target dB. T6T is fine with Radio Gain-balanced files however. I just recently installed Toast 7, but haven't seen if the same quirk persists.

Altogether a nice product. I remember using both an earlier version and its Windows twin, and this one, though the GUI isn't as fancy, impresses me more than both with its stability and effectiveness. It's certainly easier and more fool- and user-proof than running Normalize-MP3 in the CLI.

SILVERSLEEVES  I'm back to it too. I hope at some point the same developer/s make a Folder Tracker. I think it would fill a gap.

Great app. Nice to see it's kept up.

SJWRIGHT68@CHARTER.NET  To the user who was getting the "Illegal instruction error" on a G5:

Bet you can't "boot" into OS 9.2.2 either. Here's why, or part of why.

G5s are 64-bit systems, while OS 9.2.x is a 32-bit operating system. Take a look at a MacZone catalog or the ads in the back of MacWorld or MacAddict -- you'll notice they hype G4s as hardware that "Runs OS 9.2". You're probably getting the error because the G5 can't, or won't, emulate something of an inferior class of OS. Run the app as it was meant to be run -- OS X on any hardware that supports OS X (no doubt this means a G5).

I run the previous latest Discus version (2.7.6) on a G3/600, and only rarely do I run _it in Classic or booted into OS 9. In such cases I make sure the memory it grabs on launch is significantly more than the "Recommended" maximum in the Get Info>Memory window in the Finder.
