Plus I've had the occasional crash but more annoyingly the thing, like in FF 2 beta's oddly enough, stops allowing yout to enter text anywhere in the interface be it the page or the UI itself.
There is huge potential in FF3. But this is NOT ready for anyone other then those who are bug hunting. (Version 3.0b1)
SILICONADDICT Problems on my newly reimaged C2D MBP 2.33Ghz @ 10.4.10.
The backlight just turns off after a few seconds. When I select labtick from the menubar it turns back on without needing to touch the slider (FYI the slider is at 100%.) (Version 0.6.3)
ALEXANDER REPTY Have you checked the box labeled "Prevent Mac OS X from automatically adjusting the illumination" in Lab Tick's preferences? That should fix it, if it doesn't get back to me.
SILICONADDICT While the app is good its still a toy unless there is a way to bypass holding down the power button until the system turns off. Basically you can force shutdown the system in less then 5 second. While that 5 seconds has the opportunity to take a picture it doesn't have the chance to send it. (Version 0.24b)
SILICONADDICT I own a C2DMBP. Scanner feature worked once. I can't get it to scan again. I have tried it in brighter conditions, closer to the camera, farther away, at an angle, rebooted, etc. It simply doesn't work anymore, or if it does its twitchy enough that it doesn't work very well. With a catalog of over 500 movies I need this feature to work for any app I buy. (Version 3.4.3)
SILICONADDICT Note that, that post was from Feb '06. We are closing in on a year since that was posted. No note about betas. No note about we are just about there. At this point its starting to feel like abandonware. :-\ (Version 2.6.1)
SILICONADDICT Slick app. One request though. How about an easier way to turn it on and off. A slider with an on off radio button would be slick. Even slicer would be a menubar icon. *shrugs* Just a thought. (Version 0.4)
SILICONADDICT Crap. Crash prone which is probably why it has auto save. Error prone with error messages that appear when you try and do something as simple as right clicking.
And the piesta resistance? The app somehow froze the entire OS when it was prompting to proceed or register.
Seriously. No one should be paying for this app at this point. The only thing that people should be coming away is that there is a lot of potential in this app but for now I wouldn't use this app even if it was free. Come on guys. 1.5 can't come soon enough. (Version 1.0.3)
SILICONADDICT Good app. The only downside is that the temperature readout doesn't work with the new Intel Macs unless my CPU is running at 32* F which I doubt. :-P (Version 1.6)
