SIGIL It's overpriced and overrated. DW has a horrible upgrade system. I bought DW earlier this year. It was quite troublesome to upgrade/create a new Disk. It did finally work. However, I purchased a new iMac last month and neither my original disk or new bootable disk works on it. I was told that I have to purchase a new disk. This seems unfair and feels like a con... You buy something that initially works or seems like a great deal and later you have to make payments for it to work. In January, I'll be buying a new Macbook Pro. So, will I need to buy a new disk then too? I agonized over the decision to buy Disk Warrior or TechTool Deluxe or Drive Genius 2... It's obvious I failed...I rather gave that 100.00 bucks to either of the other two competitors. If anyone want's to buy my Disk Warrior 4 make me an offer. (Version 4.1.1)

RICKDUDE DiskWarrior's web site is uninformative, and I was left under the impression that I was going to have to pay full upgrade price to go from my version 4 CD to the version 4 DVD to start up my new-ish Intel Mac (NOT the newest ones launched in October 2008; I bought in September 2008). I was getting ready to say goodbye to DiskWarrior, after using it for a number of years. But I emailed their Customer Service just to make sure, and in their (very prompt) reply they said that, although the web site (even the ordering system) says the upgrade price is $49.95, once they have confirmed that you're an owner of version 4, they lower the price to $12.95 plus shipping. It's a pity they don't make this more obvious. Alsoft does seem to be at odds with the times but it seems clear they're not the gougers some of us had suspected. I've no way of knowing whether this is true, but perhaps they're a small company spending all their time working on the software, raising their heads only when an email comes in from a customer, or something along those lines. In any case, as the owner of a few Macs, it's my experience that it's always best to have the latest version of DW at hand. Note that 4.1.1 does seem to be pretty fast, too. (Version 4.1.1)

SIGIL The developer works tirelessly to enhance the stability and functionality of C.E. As an early adopter of this product, I have watched it evolved into a "must have" app! Give it a try! I think you will be impressed. It's well worth the 15.00. (Version 2.13a)

SIGIL This application is buggy, hence not worth the price. There are better choices out there most cheaper. The customer service is great too bad the application does not reflect this. (Version 2.0.4)

SIGIL I agree with the previous review/opinion. Regretfully, I chose Drag Thing instead of this product. I rediscovered this product again via MacZot. Even though it was on discount, I agonized over the decision to purchase it or not, because I already paid full price for Drag Thing. Drag Thing is a fine product, but it isn't for me. The next time I stumble across this great app at a discount, I'm going to but it immediately! (Version 2.5.5)

SIGIL The developer's recent updates have been significant ones. This app is truly ready for prime time! The only thing missing is a contextual menu option, but with this app's high level of functionality this "missing" option is easily forgotten. The interface is intuitive and customizable. The overall stability has been drastically improved! With its great price point and the developers obvious commitment to quality, this is a must have for anyone interested in increasing their productivity. (Version 2.02)

SIGIL I don't understand what your disagreement is. Did I say that this app is "the one that brings it to OS X in the best way?" Of course you are entitled to your opinion, as am I. That said, this app is ready for "prime time!" (Version 2.02b)

SIGIL I purchased this crap last month, because of the recommendation at Apple Downloads.I was forced to force quit this application several times. Additionally, it dumped all of my data. I rarely used it. I tried to be patient in hopes that an update would fix the bugs. I will assume that version 2.0 is better, but that is a big assumption. I wouldn't know, because even though I purchased it last month my code is invalid for the latest update, which states it fixes various bugs. Unless you want to force quit or stare at the sphere of swirling colors. STAY AWAY! it's cheaper than the other, but you pay for what you get. Oh and no contextual menu! (Version 2.0a)

SIGIL I'm a new Mac User (2005). I debated buying this app for quite sometime. I must say that I am very happy with it. Its become more valuable than I anticipated. I find more and more uses for it. On several occasions, I was going to either buy or download (freeware) software and discovered that I didn't have to. SD5 could do the job. It performs very well and it's stable. I've bought several apps that were unstable, but I was not told this. So, I have to wait for an update. If I request a refund, they try to resell me the buggy product with the promise of a "fix" coming soon. Soon proves to longer than one would think. I found the customer service to be responsive and courteous. I definitely love the .Mac integration and the speed boost I get on downloads. I'm still exploring it, so I may comment later. OmniWeb | Apr 9 2008 |
SIGIL This is a great alternative to Safari. Omniweb is fast, stable and quite user-friendly. The developer is top-notch. They make great software at fair prices and offer awesome customer service. I only have two small gripes about this browser. First, I wish the interface was more eye-pleasing. Second, I wish the search interface was more like FireFox's search. (Version 5.7)
