SHOCK J  CoRD doesn't seem to forward disks anymore. I use it very infrequently so I don't know when this started, but I no longer see my shares in the PC I'm controlling with CoRD. They show up fine using RDC.

I'm on a MacPro, 10.6.2.

PEELMAN  in 0.5.1 there was a small setting changed to allow people to enable/disable individual paths/disks without removing them. Simply go into the Forwarding prefs and check/uncheck the Enabled box and try again. The check in the code doesn't handle that property properly. There is a fix in place for 0.5.2. We're hoping to roll that out as soon as our current crop of cursor issues are fixed.

SHOCK J  OK, I'm a huge fan of Adium and the development team is usually on point with problems, but what just happened here? They release an update to fix a specific issue and is just flat out doesn't work. It's not like this is a hard to replicate issue. It happens every time...can't login to Facebook. I certainly appreciate their enthusiasm to release a fix, but how about waiting until it actually works before you release it.

Instead of asking me for DOB, now it asks for two word phrase, but it still won't accept any response and won't log me in. I enter 10 in a row and I know most of them were correct. Apparently FB has changed something. Lame.

SHOCK J  Suddenly I can't login to Facebook. A Captcha windows opens and says "Facebook thinks you're not you. To prove you are, please enter your date of birth." It then provide 3 fields for year, month and day, but no matter how I enter the correct info, it just keeps cycling. The fields are pre-populated with zeros, so I assume they want numerical values, but nothing works. Not 1, not 01, not Jan not January, nothing. Anybody else seeing this?

ROBOTANK  I have the same issue. I've tried both 1.3.8 and 1.4b13 with the same result. I wonder if Facebook is deliberately blocking external programs from logging into its chat, or if it's just a matter of some change in Facebook's code making Adium's current method of logging in no longer valid?

SHOCK J  Hadn't seen an update for this app in a while. I thought the developers might have been slacking off, but looking at the new release notes nothing could be further from the truth. There is a HUGE laundry list of changes and improvements. Glad to see this app has gotten some major attention.

I due have to question the lateness of this release though, as the product was completely broken under Snow Leopard (would not launch), leaving it's user base completely in the cold for a full month. That's a long time to leave your users high and dry. I’m sure some people chose to move on the alternative applications. I did. But looking at all the improvements, I'll certainly go back and give Cornerstone another look.

SHOCK J  The Intel Core 2 Duo is the first chip (used in a Mac) to utilize 64-bit architecture. Snow Leopard is the first Mac OS X to take advantage of this architecture. It's not about backwards compatibility, it's about forward compatibility. I have a first gen MBP, which only has a Core Duo chip, which means it only runs in 32-bit. I can still run Snow Leopard and any other application written to run in 64-bit, they just run in 32-bit mode. Applications just don't run in 64-bit mode just because the OS is 64-bit. Developers have to update/rewrite their existing applications, which previously only ran in 32-bit, to run in 64-bit. An application like TTP, which has hooks into the OS, will require substantially more rewriting than "normal" apps. And the last thing you want is an app like TTP to be coded haphazardly so that it jacks up your system when you use it. So you just have to give them time.

SHOCK J  Rosetta? What? TTP does not require Rosetta. I don't even have Rosetta installed on my MBP (10.6.1) and it runs fine. Yes, it's still a 32bit application, but so is over half of the Mac applications out right now. Give them, and I mean all developers not just Micromat, a chance to update their applications. Snow Leopard's only been out 2 months.

SHOCK J  I can certainly see your viewpoint, particularly being an independent developer. But I think you asked an important question, and I'm paraphrasing here, "why do software developers wait and release products with a ton of bugs fixes, INSTEAD of releasing the product in shorter intervals with less fixes/updates, which could potentially be more beneficial to the end user?"

I think it's all about perception. One side of the coin is hype/buzz/marketing. Like you said in your first response, "being able to make a big deal about its release." The other side of the coin is stability/quality. If you immediately start pushing out updates/fixes right after the product is releases, the end user could "perceive" that your product is unstable, it was released prematurely, and you're now rushing fixes out the door to create a viable product, i.e. Microsoft. :-) Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that's what you did at all. I'm simply saying that's one way it could be perceived.

My initial comments were based on the latter perception, and yes, I could be completely wrong. But perhaps, you should take this into account as you're releasing updates/fixes. No end user actually expects bug fixes on daily basis. Even just pushing out updates once a week, would dramatically alter the perception of the "stability" of your product, at least in my humble opinion. The last thing you want to do in unintentionally sabotage your own product due to bad "marketing."

All in all, I don't think anyone doubts the devotion and hard work you put into your product. The Mac community could certainly use more developers like yourself. Be smart. Don't forget it's not just about making good, great or better products than the next guy. If that's all it took, we'd ALL be Mac OS users and Windows wouldn't be infecting computers across the planet. ;-)

SHOCK J  No one said you were "sitting" on your software. In fact I said the opposite, I said you were "paying attention to user feedback and quickly responding," which I think is great. My point is that any software product needs a certain level of stability before it is released to the general public, especially if you're selling it.

You said, "I use Conjure every day, for almost everything I do, and I didn't catch any of these bugs." Does that mean you're the ONLY beta tester. If that's the case, in my humble opinion, therein lies your problem. As a single user you can't possibly encounter every use scenario you product will encounter and you will naturally miss a lot of problems. So when you do release it to the general public, and it fails for a significant user base, your product will look "unpolished." And that is the feeling I get here. To quote TANKKNIGHT, "Unfortunately so far out of v4.0.0 thru v4.0.5 only version 4.0.2 works. v4.0.2 will work only as long as I use it lightly, do not leave it active long."

Your dedication and effort into your product are not in question here. I think that's obvious to us all. My concern solely focuses around the level of testing and overall stability of what you call a releasable, and more importantly, sellable software product.

SHOCK J  I'm all for developers who pay attention to user feedback and quickly respond with bug fixes and updates, BUT having to publish seemingly critical bug fixes everyday for a week immediately after the software is released would leave one to believe that the so-called "final" product needed a little more beta testing and was not quite ready for prime time. Beta testing with paying customers never goes over well.

I understand how you feel about this, but I feel it's equally wrong to 'sit' on fixes until I have enough 'saved up' to make a big deal about its release, especially when my users could actually be using the software right now, as opposed to when I get around to letting them.

As you can see in my videos, I use Conjure every day, for almost everything I do, and I didn't catch any of these bugs. And not everything I'm posting is a bug fix, it's just that those get the most attention. In the last 24 hours, for example, I added support for Path Finder. Fortunately, I learned from building earlier versions, and figured out how to build v4 in such a way that it's trivial to update any one part without affecting anything else.

When people post bugs, it shows a weakness in the app. If I let that just sit and fester, it starts to look pretty gross. Look at how the security groups rake Apple over the coals for not fixing security bugs 'fast enough'. Right now, if someone finds something they don't like, I just fix it.

Hey, I'd love it if other apps on my desktop were fixed as quickly ;-)

I am actually reading very few "critical" fixes. If you read the version history you'll see "adding" and "improving" more than anything else. That's not a critical fix like "Fixed Conjure setting computer on fire" would be. XD

I appreciate Chilton's responsiveness and willingness to listen to Users' ideas (though that doesn't mean he should just do whatever anyone wants. And, yes, I am in the software biz as well.) It's one thing to write an app that you use and find helpful but once it's out in the wild you realize how differently other people use (or want to use) it. Bravo, Chilton! 8^)

Aug 10 2009

I should clarify this, I wasn't implying that you said I was sitting on the bug fixes. That's just how I feel about it when I see someone release a new product that has a ton of bug fixes in it. I have to ask myself why it wasn't released earlier, especially if one of the fixes was something I could have used earlier.

I do appreciate your concern.

Conjure does go through a fairly intense amount of beta testing prior to each release, and I'm fairly confident we wiped out all of the catastrophic bugs in there months ago. I have a G5, with Leopard, and it runs this fine. But I realize this might also be an OS version issue (my G5 is a few behind right now), and that's the clue I'm going off of right now.

There's some irony here. The problem that TANKKNIGHT is running into is absolutely a bug in WebKit on Leopard on PPC, or at least that's what his bug report points directly at. It's not crashing in Conjure's code at all. So I'm working on a workaround for it. Because unfortunately, I cannot depend on Apple releasing software at the rate I can.

If that's all it took, we'd ALL be Mac OS users and Windows wouldn't be infecting computers across the planet. ;-)

SHOCK J  Thanks ELRAINA. That actually helped a lot.

I had to also check "Hide Finder's Desktop" in the same pane. Once I unchecked "Show Desktop Background" then I had two sets of icons visible on my desktop, from the Finder & PathFinder, but only PathFinder's set was clickable. It became totally confusing. Using this method also allowed CoverSutra's desktop "widget" (for lack of a better word) to become visible using Path Finder as well. I had all but given up on that one. There's also a numerical Desktop window level adjustment. I had no idea the app could even do that. They shouldn't keep such useful settings buried in the app.

Anyways, Thanks for the tip. I hope it holds up.

Hell, I have it installed on my G4 Cube! I have never had a problem with Synergy launching during start-up for me. And from what I'm hearing from most users is that they haven't had a problem either. So if the majority of users don't have start-up issues, I find it difficult to come to the conclusion that the product is defective. I find it much easier to come to the conclusion that the product is fine and your experiences are anomalous. Why it doesn't work for you I obviously can't explain, but putting the blame on the developer is logically unsound. So you can continue to complain all you want or you can focus that energy into finding the real problem.

Fetch
Jun 2 2009

SHOCK J  OK... Moving from version 5.3.1 to 5.5 requires an upgrade fee. Let's see what we get...

• Improved Edit command - you can now edit any kind of file using any application and the changes will automatically be saved back to the server

• Added automatic resume of stalled or failed uploads

• Added Quick Look support for previewing files on servers (Mac OS X 10.5 and later only)

• Added support for gestures on laptop trackpads: in the transfer window, swipe left to go back to previously viewed folder, swipe up to go to the parent folder, and swipe down to open the selected folder

• Made Get Info quicker by not calculating folder sizes until you ask for them

And that's it! $10 isn't a lot but I don't appreciate being nickel-and-dimed for these measly updates that don't add any "real" new or useful features. Gestures on trackpads?! Gimme a break. This is a FTP client not a word processor. That's total a bloatware feature in order to try and justify charging an upgrade fee. And their "fix" for "Get Info"... how long did that take to recode, 10 minutes?

This should be version 5.3.2 And it should be FREE.

Springy
Apr 3 2009

SHOCK J  Ok, scratch my comment. It just "magically" appeared. Very strange. There is a bug/issue though. I use Path Finder primarily. Path Finder has the option of "appending the Finder's contextual menu items" in "a Submenu" or at "the End" of Path Finder's CM. Springy only shows up in Path Finder's CM if it is set to "at End." If it's set to "a submenu" you get nada. Personally I do prefer Springy at the root level, but it would be great if I didn't have to have ALL the Finder CM items at the root level.

I would love for Springy to play a bit nicer with Path Finder's CM. It has always been a bit "off." For example, it seems that the font size for Springy CM is hard coded. Path Finder has the option for a "small contextual menu font size." When this is checked, all the other 3rd party CM items font sizes adjust down appropriately, but Springy does not. So all the other CM items are at 9px, where as the Springy CM item is still at 12px. Just looks weird.

These are minor gripes. At least it's working for me now.

ANONYMOUS  Unfortunately, Springy menu not appearing when you choose to show 3rd party CMs in a submenu in Path Finder contextual menu is a consequence of the way SpringyCM now works, all that in order to put it into the root of Finder contextual menu, which was request from many users (I still hope Apple will come to it senses and bring 3rd party CMs back where they belong, in the root of the menu). I'll see if there is anything I can do regarding this.

As of menu font size, no, it's not hard coded in Springy, it's just default, 12pt. If the official CM plug-in interface is used, menu items are inserted as AppleEvent record and list objects. A real creation of menu items is done by the system and in such case it eventually creates menus with fonts of correct size. In order to put Springy in the root of the contextual menu, I don't implement that interface fully, but I insert menu items directly, using appropriate Menus API. When specifying menu item text, and if font size is not specified, it just defaults to 12pt. This is easy to fix, and I'll do it in 1.5.1 or 1.5.2 most probably.

The biggest problem with SpingyCM 1.5 and Path Finder is something you didn't even mention: SpringyCM 1.5 is hardy functional with Path Finder! Again, this is due to the workaround in order to bring Springy back into the root of the contextual menu. SpringyCM is displayed in Path Finder, but when you click some Springy command, some other Path Finder command is called instead. I tried really hard to debug it and find out that like Path Finder is "eating" so-called "command event", so SpringyCM doesn't see it at all. I am in contact with Path Finder author and I'll see what I can do to fix this one, which is a real show stopper for SpringyCM in Path Finder.

MILKE  @SHOCK J

Springy CM plug-in is now (almost) fully functional when working with Path Finder! The only thing which won’t work is extracting particular file from an archive while browsing through hierarchical contextual menu. Namely, browsing is still possible, but clicking on a menu item representing a file in the archive will NOT work. This functionality has to be implemented using Carbon command event and that event cannot be caught in a Cocoa application, such Path Finder is. By the way, this particular functionality has never worked, I hadn’t even known until I’ve tried it recently (I'm not a regular Path Finder user).

DARYLF2

Finder slowdowns and crashes were not related to Springy CM not being in the "More" submenu, but due to some other problems and errors in implementation, which were corrected in version 1.5.2. Anyway, starting from version 1.5.5, there is an option in the General preferences panel to show Springy in either root of the Finder contextual menu, or in the “More” submenu like Apple intended.

SHOCK J  This app sounds great but is definitely lacking a bit. First of all, it just needs to be smarter. I had two albums (in different libraries) where the only difference was a capital letter in the album title ("onmyradio" vs "Onmyradio"). Otherwise the files were completely identical. It just can't have a generic search where ANY difference whatsoever is merit for copying. Minor discrepancies in album titles happen all them time, particularly when there is punctuation. (i.e. "Vo1. 1," vs "Vol 1:" or "Vol. 1-"). If this thing copies anything and everything with no "intelligence" to speak of, I'm going to spend hours removing duplicates from all my synced libraries. This app is supposed to save me time, not create more work for me.

My second issue is the interface itself. Simple is good, but TOO simple, to the point where you have too little control over what happens, is not good. There is too little the user can do to actually help the app make the correct choices. You can "transfer tracks by dragging between the track list and the source list." How about enabling the track list and source list to be viewed in SEPARATE windows so we can see them AT THE SAME TIME. Having only one view and having to go back and forth is just retarded.

This app has potential, but it still feels like a fresh off the shelf version 1.0 app. When it becomes smarter and more robust, then it'll be a great addition to my software library.

If you haven't quite Finder and haven't disabled Finder's Desktop from within Path Finder, the original Apple desktop will now "show through" Path Finder. Hyperspace's labels all seem to work and it's possible to have a different background for each space while running Path Finder (which is what I was trying to do).

Hope this helps.

Jul 14 2009

SHOCK J  I really like the app and it would be my main encoder except for the one major problem... album/song tagging. The MusicBrainz DB is total garbage. It finds less than half of the CDs I want to rip. This app should either switch to Gracenote or AT LEAST check the iTunes DB to see if the album info is there. Since iTunes does use Gracenote, it almost always finds the correct album info. Max could simply use that. This has got to be an easy fix.

You've got to be kidding. Apple uses TONS of open source code in Mac OS X (i.e. Darwin) and they certainly don't give their OS away for free or submit every piece of code they write into the open source community.

Just because you happen to use some open source code in a project, doesn't mean that the code YOU wrote the utilizes it isn't still proprietary and doesn't belong to you.

Simply put, before installing Hear on my MacPro, the UserEvent Agent ran fine. AFTER installing Hear, the UserEventAgent is stuck and non-responsive. After removing Hear, UserEventAgent runs fine again. The is most certainly the result of installing this software. That does not mean that Hear is the sole cause of the issue, as it could just as well be a conflict with another 3rd party app/plugin, but Hear is definitely part of the problem. If the developers continue to say it's not, then they're just in denial.

Stacks In Da Place
Dec 11 2007

SHOCK J  It appears that what this application does is simply put a folder with a custom icon inside your downloads (or documents) folder and name it " " (blank). Giving it a blank name make it always appear first if you have your stack sorted by name. If you have it sorted any other way, this trick won't work. I personally prefer my Downloads folder to be sorted by Date Added. So this doesn't really work for me. Plus, the fact you have to have a blank folder inside the chosen Stack's folder is kind of disappointing. I like to keep my stuff better organized than that. Every time I see I want to delete it. While this is an interesting "trick," I wouldn't call this a true customization, especially since it only works for 1 of the 5 sorting presents a Stack provides.

SRS iWOW Premium
Nov 22 2007

SHOCK J  Latest version of iWow (2.0.2.255) has a process called "genredetection." If iTunes 7.5 (in Leopard) quits unexpectedly, the genredetection process doesn't quit and forces iTunes to automatically relaunch and spawns a second genredetection process. Here is where the problem starts. Now, whenever you try and quit iTunes normally, either via command key or file menu, the genredetection process continue to force iTunes to relaunch and continues to respawn new processes of itself. At this point, iTunes becomes practically un-quitable. You now have to go into the Activity Monitor application and force quit all the "genredetection" processes that have spawned and only then can you actually quit iTunes. I consider this a serious bug. Seeing as how we all know SRS's support is non-existent, we'll see if this ever gets fixed.

Path Finder

****.

SHOCK J  I have been an avid Path Finder user for years now. While I will still give this app a great review, I have stopped using with the installation of Leopard. The new Finder in Leopard has gotten some key improvements that for me outweigh the things I lose by not using Path Finder. Yes, I miss the tabbed views, yes I really miss the drop stack, but these things are conveniences, not functionality. The big thing I love in the new Finder is the "SHARED" section in the side bar. The auto detection and listing of Mac and PC computers on your network is great. The auto connection to computers you have stored passwords for and listing of shares is awesome. And then on top of that, the ability to share screens with just a click of a button is just insane. I'm sorry, but this type of functionality completely outweighs anything I lost in Path Finder. Not to mention you can now have smart folders in your Finder side bar and there's cover flow view for easy previews. Path Finder adding Quick Look is definite step in the right direction (although their version doesn't have the cool scale transition), but they gotta get the networking functionality up to speed before they get me back. At that point, I'll at least give it another look. Until then, the Leopard Finder is the winner.

MILKE  It will be fixed in version 1.3.3. Unfortunately, Leopard brought some more quirks to both application and CM plug-in (some of them are bugs in Leopard in my opinion) and I expect to have them fixed by the end of this week. As of the feature you mention, I'm still investigating, but I'm almost sure there will be no other solution than to move the root menu item of archive contents (the one titled with archive name) one level deeper into menu hierarchy, hence in Springy submenu, where all other Springy commands are located. The way Leopard works with third party CM plug-ins is completely changed, plug-ins are not being even initalised before "More" menu item in the root of the Finder CM is highlighted. That prevents me to catch the moment when that submenu is populated so I can change the name of the menu item and attach archive contents hierarchy to it.

SHOCK J  $20? For features that are all built into the OS? You've got to be kidding.

iTunes is completely capable of creating custom ringtones within the app. And Apple has it's own application for transferring files to bluetooth devices. It's called "Bluetooth File Exchange." I have made a handful of 30 sec ringtones in iTunes and transferred them to my RAZR.

Here is a link on how to do it.

http://wateronlydries.com/2005/11/make-a-razr-ringtone-with-itunes/

It specifically talks about the RAZR but it should work with any bluetooth enabled phone. Sure, maybe this app shortens the process for the user, but it doesn't shorten in $20 worth. This is a $5 app MAX!

While I am thrilled people are comparing my app to Surface, there are at least six major differences:

1) If you put a drink on Conjure, you will screw up your computer.

2) This was originally called the 'Internet Scratchpad', and was part of the WebbToys shareware bundle in 1997. It was not inspired by Surface.

3) Mine only runs on a Mac, and uses Cocoa and QuickTime for a lot of the visual effects.

4) I was inspired to put rotating graphics on it after a demo Mark Lucas did for PictureData rotation in SuperCard, in 2004. I linked it to the touchpad of a Mac when I bought my first PowerBook that supported dual finger scrolling, and the scrollwheel of the MightyMouse when I finally bought one of those. I wanted to see if I could come up with a 'touch-like' way to interact with graphics.

5) Mine doesn't synch with your cell phone automatically. Yet.

6) Conjure costs $35. Surface costs around $10,000.

...though I'm perfectly happy to throw in a computer and a table if you want to part with $10,000 ;-)

SHOCK J  Haven't had any problems with Parallels updates until now. This updated broke both of my VMs (Vista and XP). The app quits during the boot process. I can boot into safe mode, so apparently the new Parallels drivers cause the crashes. Great. :-(

SHOCK J  I really like this app, but the developer needs to step up and make a UB version. The "Read Me" says it's based on LimeWire and Acquisition. Well both LimeWire and Acquisition are both UB now. So what gives? The first Intel Macs came out in Jan 06. This is a simple app with a simple interface. I think he should be able to convert this tiny app to UB in 16 months, especially if he's basing his code on other apps that are already UB. Let's get with program here...

MACUPDATE ADMIN  I've been running Cabos on my MacBook Pro since I bought it last November and have had no issues with Cabos whatever. Sure, a UB would be nice but I'm thinking the only thing that would improve is Cabos' launch time, maybe some other speed increases as well that may or may not be noticeable. At any rate, Cabos has been my fave p2p app for a long while.

SHOCK J  First time trying this product. V2.5.1 doesn't seem to work with iPods (or latest version of iTunes (7.3) properly). I get a "No File" Error for every file on my iPod. My iPod is really the main reason I was interested in this. Looks like they have a bug to fix.

MacFusion

SHOCK J  Going to have to stop using MacFusion until they update it properly. Regardless of which user I use to connect to a server with (including root), I no longer have write access if I connect via MacFusion. I'm backing using sshfs for Darwin until MacFusion gets the bugs out. Too bad, MacFusion is super easy to use versus sshfs, which has no UI. Same problem with 1.2beta2 as well.

SHOCK J  Can't get v1.5 to work. The app launches. I can load 1 page and that's it. Every subsequent attempt to load another Web site just leaves the browser "hanging." It just sits there trying to load the page. Version 1.04 works fine. I deleted prefs and App Support folder. Same issue. MacBook Pro, OS X10.4.9. Anyone else seeing this?

I get the same behavior using a iBook G4 and 10.4.9. I've downgraded to Camino 1.04 until the problem gets fixed.

MacFusion
Jun 7 2007

SHOCK J  Creating a symbolic link to the new location of the MacFuse extension where MacFusion expects it to be seems to be a temp workaround. MacFusion will give you a warning that it has not been verified with the version of MacFuse (0.4.0) that you are running and it could cause problems. To make symlink (in Terminal): "sudo ln -s /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext /Library/Extensions/fusefs.kext" Of course , you have to be an admin to do this.

SHOCK J  Yes, I have encountered the same problem after upgrading to new version of MacFuse. I read the Changelog and the latest version of MacFuse has repackaged and moved the installed components to new locations. This is probably why MacFusion now longer works. It's looking for MacFuse in the wrong place now. Probably an easy fix for the developer(s). Hope they get to this quickly as I love this little app. :-)

MILKE  Well, I was just waiting for someone to report this...

Don't worry, neither developer nor Springy has ceased. Unfortunately, at the moment I have got some real troubles with my former hosting provider and transferring the domain to another hosting (it's really incredible how far some will go to "persuade" you to stay with them), but I expect it fixed within a few days. If not, that I will most probably get another (temporary) domain until I get this one fixed. In the meanwhile, you can address all the requests and support issues to milke AT macserbia.org.

I'd also like to mention, just to make you sure that I'm still on track with Springy, that work on the new version (1.3) is in progress, with a lot of new features. You can expect it released at the end of June - beginning of July. By that time I really hope that domain issues will be resolved.

I'm sorry for all the inconvenience.

Milke.

SHOCK J  This hasn't been updated in 6 months. If they're going to claim support for the PSP then they need to keep up with PSP firmware updates. PSP can now handle H264, higher screen resolutions, and has a "Video" folder at the root level of the system that can handle both video formats and jpgs as thumbnails. Roxio needs to catch WAY up.

Max

****.

SHOCK J  I like Max but it's got one quirk. First, to FREEBSD who said, "Track lookup database that has been better than that employed by iTunes." Is that a joke? MusicBrainz sucks. 70% of the time it pulls the wrong CD information and I have to re-enter it manually. What it SHOULD do is check your iTunes db FIRST to see if the track info already exists locally, THEN do an internet search if it doesn't. Every CD I rip has already been looked up in iTunes (which almost always pulls the correct info from Gracenote). Max is flawed in this one area.

SHOCK J  Like the app, much faster than Mail when syncing to IMAP accounts, but the search has got some serious issues. "Anywhere" doesn't search anywhere. If I get results with a specific phrase with "Subject" I certainly should at least get those exact results with "Anywhere". "Anywhere" should include "Subject". But the app apparently doesn't work that way. I can only presume this is a bug. It needs smart folders, better integrated search, better handling/display of threaded e-mail.

LRKIRSCH  It seems to instead display whatever was clicked on two times ago, for example:

If you view Memory, then Fans, then Processes, you get Memory.

If you view Network, then All, then Processes, you get Network.

(etc. etc. etc. :)

I've occasionally also noticed that one icon will not work at all when clicked, but if you close and reopen the widget, the non-working icon seems to be random if there is even one at all.

I've tried trashing the preference file but that doesn't fix anything.

Others have also reported problems with the Battery section.

Just checked the developer's blog again. 1.71 should fix all of this.
